Blessed, as in, feeling blessed. Just gets my goat. Not sure why, think
I find it smug.
What words get on your tits nerves?

Making love. Used to prefer it as a term til i had a very verbally sexually abusive controlling ex who used it religiously, wouldn't say sex, sleeping together etc, would only use the term "make love". Hated it ever since, makes my skin crawl.

NoCapes · 04/06/2017 02:14

'Bliss'
just finished the ironing now having a nice cup of tea...bliss
Eurgh!!!

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 04/06/2017 02:40

Boils my piss

What a vile expression. I've never read nor heard it anywhere other than on MN.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 04/06/2017 02:42

All the "dh" "dp" "ds" "dd" etc. I hate it. It is nauseatingly twee.

abbey44 · 04/06/2017 02:47

'Moist', obviously. But for me, 'little man' does my head in. No logical reason, it just sets my teeth on edge.

squoosh · 04/06/2017 02:56

The hate for the word 'moist' genuinely baffles me.

Would you like it if a slice of cake was dry, your lipstick was dry, your fanny was dry? So many things are all the better for being moist!

I think people just imagine they hate the word moist because they've read that other people hate it.

PicaPau · 04/06/2017 02:57

Shag, what an ugly word!

Since moving to Brazil I have come to loathe "let's". Everyone here is convinced that to speak English you have to start every fucking sentence with "let's". When I see "let's learn English" or some other overly happy and inspirational "let's" slogan, I develop an irrational desire to lanch into a Victor Meldrew meets Rab C Nesbit style rant .

PyongyangKipperbang · 04/06/2017 03:24

Ickle (as in my ickle gurl.....how my BIL described his DD on FB. Probably still does tbh but I blocked him in disgust)

Iwasjustabouttosaythat · 04/06/2017 04:22

"Inspo" instead of inspiration. I know that's not quite the same but oh the rage!!!

TheClaws · 04/06/2017 04:25

Snowflake - as in, 'speshul snowflakes' or the right calling all liberals 'snowflakes'.

BeeThirtythree · 04/06/2017 05:21

Treat, "let me treat you to a meal" yes, because eating food is something I rarely get to do! It is when the treat is something that genuinely is not a treat it bugs me even more... if I was given the ice cream without the treat drama , I would still be grateful.
Not just bless but the "Aaaaw bless" irritates me!

Vacay, instagood, hellagood, gives me jokes/lolz, more better, relationship/couple/mummy...infact any prefix to goals especially with a hashtag #MNgoals...no! Just no. Gives me life...unless you are referring to God or your mother,or maybe a doctor...it is irritating. No, your latte in an avocado did not give you life!

Oh there is more!

MarilynWhirlwindRocks · 04/06/2017 05:38

Still shuddering after thinking about these:

  • manky
  • Chrimbo
  • minging
  • (more for the actual images they produce) phlegm, mucus etc.
MarilynWhirlwindRocks · 04/06/2017 05:49

Pyongyang,

God, I'm 100% with you on zero tolerance for "ickle gurl" Shock

(Excusable if said by anyone under 2 and a half.
By a grown flipping adult, though? Just wrong).

MarilynWhirlwindRocks · 04/06/2017 05:56

Forgot the world's worst: "Totes amazeballs."

I'm clearly just an intolerant killjoy.

Pawsbutton · 04/06/2017 05:57

PFB (Precious First Born). So patronising. I'm

Pawsbutton · 04/06/2017 05:58
  • I'm a mother of an only child (unable to have more) and PFB stings every time I read it.
