01472 575757 This is the number for Grimsby, is this the one you were trying?

prettywhiteguitar · 28/05/2017 13:32

The Domestic Abuse Team within the Police (including Independant Advisors) are on 721225 or 721224. Although you do not have to report the violence to the Police we would encourage this as reporting it builds a case against the perpetrator.

This off the NEL Woman's aid.

PeanutButterJellyTimeforTea · 28/05/2017 13:32

Womens Aid is a 24/7 helpline number. 0808 2000 247

Queenofthestress · 28/05/2017 13:39

I was trying the 0800 number, I'm gonna go out again (he's still passed out on the sofa) and try the 575757 one, will let everyone know what happens x

I really hope you get through to someone, but it's not too late to speak to the police either. They're really hot on dv these days.

Please do leave asap. I was a mentally and physically abusive relationship for 15 years. It will get worse.... it will get physical. Please, please leave. I know it's really hard, but it's not as bad as you think it will be.

Dodie66 · 28/05/2017 13:57

Hope you manage to get some help

LorLorr2 · 28/05/2017 14:02

Can you go to a neighbour? You should not have to hide in your own home. So sorry you are in such a scary situation. We are all here for you.

LorLorr2 · 28/05/2017 14:03

Did you friend phone the police when you asked them to??

Willyoujustbequiet · 28/05/2017 14:13

Get it logged with the police. It helps build a case for obtaining a non molestation order/occupation order which means it would be him that has to leave the home.

It also starts to flag up your address for a rapid response.

The NDV helpline appointed a solicitor for me all free of charge and they can obtain emergency orders.

I'm at the point of where I'm kicking myself for freezing, the last time this happened I smacked exdp back, so why the fuck did I freeze?!!

prettywhiteguitar · 28/05/2017 14:38

Have you called the Grimsby refuge? If not just call the police line I posted above.

Don't freeze just do it

Embarrassedatsoftplay · 28/05/2017 14:43

Please call OP. Ig really is the best step to take and you will have people talking to you who will help you - they'll know what to do as they have experience - you're not alone.

Waltermittythesequel · 28/05/2017 14:45

Hope you've gotten through to someone and are getting help.

Queenofthestress · 28/05/2017 15:35

I'm at the police station, so fucking scared

OP posts:
prettywhiteguitar · 28/05/2017 15:38

I know you are doing the right think reporting him, you will feel anxious as you know he will be angry and you are used to keeping the peace.

Accept all the help you can get and don't hold back, you can do this. You owe him nothing

loveka · 28/05/2017 15:41

Please be strong and ring. You deserve more, and will have more if you can get out.
You don't have to live that way. Your poor thing, it's so horrible for you.

I was also the child in this situation. It will be having a huge impact.

SquinkiesRule · 28/05/2017 15:42

Glad you went to the Police station Queen, stay safe.

Don't question yourself, you did what you thought was best to keep you and DC safe. A smack may have given him the excuse to hit you and justify it to himself as self-defence.

LorLorr2 · 28/05/2017 15:46

Happy you've made it to the police. You are doing the right thing well done for your courage x

OhHolyFuck · 28/05/2017 16:43

I work at a women's refuge - you are being so brave for having taken that step, we know it's hard so a huge well done for keeping yourself and the children safe

The police will be able to help, keep safe and don't be afraid to phone straight to 999 if the situation escalates

Do you know if you phone 999 and can't speak, dial 55 on the keypad and they'll know it's a true call and you can't talk rather than an accidental dialling?

Buxtonstill · 28/05/2017 18:33

I hope you are ok x

PurpleDragon76 · 28/05/2017 18:46

When we are abused we just don't see anything rationally anymore. I really hope you are being helped and supported and sending you virtual hugs Flowers

Queenofthestress · 28/05/2017 22:33

I am at my sister's, the police removed him from the house
