So iv been fake tanning (as I'm a milk bottle) and the buzzer goes. I ran to it and buzzed him up. Grabbed a dressing gown ( as im wearing a steappy top and no bra, due to the fake tanning )and opened the door. The man looks me up and down and says "sorry to have woken you....Not like its the afternoon or anything Hmm". Cheeky fucker! My son then cane running at me in his stroller so I took my package said thanks and closed the door.

AIBU that I didn't tell the cheeky bastard to mind his own and kindly fuck off?? I wish I did now! Or sent my 6 month old after him!

Next time OP just say "oh heavens, i must look a mess! We had to pull an all nighter, an emergency, member of the Royals, no names , but the consultant surgeon and the family insisted I scrubbed it" Then smile.

Why are you still here Navy if this issue is so very trivial?

MerchantofVenice · 27/05/2017 15:41

(I know why.)

chickpeaburger · 27/05/2017 15:42

Is there not a PACKET of biscuits emoticon? One won't do it.

chickpeaburger · 27/05/2017 15:44

"why have you posted this nonsense" is fantastic isn't it. Most sensible comment on here.

Bluntness100 · 27/05/2017 15:44

And a fuck off doesn't make you rough. Pretty sure Prince Philip says it all the time

In this context in my view it does and I'm absolutely positive that prince Philip doesn't go around telling randoms to fuck off if they make a slightly untowars comment. If he did it would be all over the media, like every other thing he says that's off. Imagining prince Philip runs around shouting fuck off to random people for the slightest comment is batshit.

And yes it's rough as.

eleanor1989 · 27/05/2017 15:48

I have already apologised for the thread annoying anyone. Not sure why people are still complaining and having a go? Not really sure what uv supposed to have done that us THAT annoying. But thank you to those who understood why I felt annoyed. Like I said, enjoy your weekends everyone

Because misogyny is so fucking funny.

misogyny not really, posters seeing it everywhere and twisting everything to match their weird obsession a little bit.Grin
There is at least one coming up with it on every single thread. Bingo!

Bleubell · 27/05/2017 15:51

OP you don't have to apologise to anyone!

No one is forcing people to read your thread, don't worry about it just ignore it !

Andylion · 27/05/2017 15:54

eleanor, no need to apologise. MN is filled with threads like this, and as someone above mentioned, they are often really popular.

Will you eventually be tanning your legs?

MerchantofVenice · 27/05/2017 15:55

There's no need for you to apologise OP.

I think, in general, people should think before they speak. Lots of people have no 'How might this make someone feel' filter, and they just blurt out potentially offensive stuff all day.

That's fine if you're one of the similarly abrasive/ insensitive folk (like many on this thread). But if you're (gasp) sensitive, it can make your life unnecessarily difficult.

I speak from experience. My life would be easier if I were less sensitive. And I try. I have a supportive husband who helps me find perspective when someone has upset me. What he doesn't do is tell me to 'get a sense of humour' or try to belittle me for talking 'nonsense'.

Some posters enjoy making other posters feel bad. Some have posted on this thread purely to make you feel worse. I wish they'd examine their own actions... but they won't.

eleanor1989 · 27/05/2017 15:56

Andylion

No unfortunately not! I did do my feet though. Should have moisturised first!! I won't be wearing sandles tomorrow, that's for sure

Thank you Smile I am one of those sensitive ones I'm afraid but since having a child I try not to care as much.

I'm with you Op - he was rude & out of order. I'd like to think I'd have told him to fuck off but in reality I'd likely have been too stunned to speak or asked him if he was being serious Shock.

Not sure why you're getting a hard time by the way, so ignore that if you can & hope your tan turns out nice!

I used a self-tanner once, years ago. I remember strutting to work, happy that there was no glare from the white of my legs, when I happened to notice a hand print on my arm. Blush I've not had the courage to try it again.

MerchantofVenice · 27/05/2017 16:06

Ask yourself why you're posting Navy

(Also, sensitive people get angry too.)

eleanor1989 · 27/05/2017 16:07

navyandwhite if I wasn't sensitive I wouldn't have been bothered by it in the first place. Iv already said I wouldn't have litterally told him to fuck off. Iv been more than polite to people having a go at me on this thread so not sure why your stll being rude... I guess for a reaction which you have already gotten. So again enjoy your weekend

OP posts:
eleanor1989 · 27/05/2017 16:09

andylion oh iv been there before! I always buy it, try it and bin it. I'm too pale for fake tan (how does that even work?) So tend to go a nice shade of orange. I saw on another thread someone had recommended this 10 minute tan one so thought I'd give it a chance

St tropez is actually really good. It just leaves you a light honey colour after you shower it off.and it's never orange. it is quite expensive but worth it in my view.
