So iv been fake tanning (as I'm a milk bottle) and the buzzer goes. I ran to it and buzzed him up. Grabbed a dressing gown ( as im wearing a steappy top and no bra, due to the fake tanning )and opened the door. The man looks me up and down and says "sorry to have woken you....Not like its the afternoon or anything Hmm". Cheeky fucker! My son then cane running at me in his stroller so I took my package said thanks and closed the door.

AIBU that I didn't tell the cheeky bastard to mind his own and kindly fuck off?? I wish I did now! Or sent my 6 month old after him!

ThouShallNotPass · 27/05/2017 15:01

I recently said to someone being rude to me, "Oh do fuck off dear!" Thank you MN for putting that one in my head

So it does happen. And I would never normally swear in front of someone.

IloveBanff · 27/05/2017 15:01

"would the driver commented had it be a man answering the door in his y fronts ?"

Well that's just silly! You can't buy y-fronts with doors in them.

SnickersWasAHorse · 27/05/2017 15:01

I really should start playing that MN bingo I hear so much about.

Because misogyny is so fucking funny.

flippinada · 27/05/2017 15:02

Don't posh folks swear with impunity though? It's just the middle classes that think it's the height of rudeness.

eleanor1989 · 27/05/2017 15:02

Ok. Apologies for making a lighthearted thread.

I honestly didn't realise it would piss people off as much as it seems to have.

Learnt my lesson. Enjoy your weekends. Smile

IloveBanff · 27/05/2017 15:02

How do any of you know that he wouldn't have said it to a man? Confused

forfuckssakenet · 27/05/2017 15:06

Your face mustn't fit Eleanor. I seem to remember a really shitty thread about a cake (how mundane and trivial can you get) made it to 1000 comments with enablers hanging on OP's every word 😂

Salmotrutta · 27/05/2017 15:06

No need to apologise eleanor.

I, for one, like threads like this.

flippinada · 27/05/2017 15:07

eleanor don't worry about it and don't take the thread to heart. This place can be weird sometimes. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

forfuckssakenet · 27/05/2017 15:07

Me too. Love threads like this.

Keep posting.

Bleubell · 27/05/2017 15:07

OP he was being cheeky, he has no right to sarcastically comment on what you are wearing when you answer the doorShock

Are you supposed to tailor your whole routine around the possibility of someone coming to your door?!

I think some people would just brush comments like this off but everyone is different and you are well within your right to be annoyed about it, I certainly would be!

Some other posters are being a bit out of order, we all have different opinions on things and people shouldn't be rude when someone's differs from theirs. As a PP has mentioned, topics of conversation don't always have to be about something serious Hmm

Salmotrutta · 27/05/2017 15:07

Which cake thread was that forfucks?

Slimthistime · 27/05/2017 15:10

Oh that was rude
And I agree, he'd not have said it to a man.

eleanor1989 · 27/05/2017 15:10

I always worry when im expecting a delivery. Always worried ill be feeding my baby or changing him.

Anyway iv just put one of those black face mask things on my nose! If anyone wants to come knock on my door I will be ignoring it Grin

userblablabla · 27/05/2017 15:12

OP, how dare you make a lighthearted thread to have a bit of a laugh about a cheeky comment someone made?! You're only allowed to post about huge events on mumsnet, didn't you know? It's in the rules.

user1489675144 · 27/05/2017 15:16

A bit cheeky and none of his business whether you are dressed or not but not enough to get upset about or let it dominate your day.

MerchantofVenice · 27/05/2017 15:18

Some proper dicks on this thread.

He was being cheeky, of course.

I think those if us who aren't overly literal realise that 'tell him to fuck off' could be shorthand for a range of hostile comebacks- all of which he would have deserved.

Lol at all the people trying to police the forum in case something 'trivial' slips through the net!! Are you mad? Have you seen how excited everyone gets about parking issues?!

Yes, those of you with thick skin might be able to brush off every offensive/annoying remark day in day out, but the thing is should you have to ? Why can't people, you know, just not be offensive dicks ?

WhereIs you're being deeply unpleasant.

Andylion · 27/05/2017 15:31

I shouldn't be made to feel crappy inside my own home.

Exactly, OP.

eleanor1989 · 27/05/2017 15:32

whereis somehow iv managed to get right under your skin haven't I? Because I posted about something that happened in my day? Goodness. Im obviously not the only one that needs to get a life Confused

OP posts:
PuppyMonkey · 27/05/2017 15:34

"Why have you posted this nonsense?" Grin

Funniest comment on here in ages. I'm going to post it on lots of inappropriate threads. Wink

Pemba · 27/05/2017 15:36

None of his damn business, cheeky sod.

I'd complain to them- and I have in the past when I got a similar comment after getting up while sleeping off a hellish night shift to open door.

I went full chewin the fat :I'M ON THE NIGHT SHIFT grabbed parcel and slammed door. Then wrote a bitchy email

How you look at home is no one's business but yours.
