To ask cat owners for good name suggestions?

Getting a kitten soon. DH doesn't care for cats or their names, four stupid suggestions from DC's. AIBU to think that Play-Doh, Meatballs, Tootsie and Muppet are all truly dire names for a cat that I will have to call -loudly - (not them).

AIBU? If I'm not can cat owners give me some genuine non-twatty suggestions for the new kitten?

My cats were all names after actors. Mitchum (Robert) Jimmy (Stewart), Gable (Clark). Apart from one who we called Alan (Bennett).

Now I just have a dog and it doesn't matter what his name is. He would come to anything, but most likely "Sausages".

I have 2 called Tilly (one came to us already named and they were both two old to answer to anything else lol) and one of their sisters is Lily. They Jacksons and Jess (siblings) I didn't name any of these btw lol

We have 2 called Meatballs and Catboy Slim (not my idea!)

Leo is always a good catname as all domestic cats are lions in their own minds. We've also had an Arthur, a Titus and an Iris and currently have Annie, Bedelia, Ivan, Lola, Teddy and Archibald.

My previous cat was Breezer after my fave drink when I got her

Now I have a Millie who we call Millie Moo, Milicent, Milston - was much better than her name from the adoption place Crookshanks but still related to Harry Potter

I quite like the idea of having 2 cats called Allegra and Alberta who are collectively known as Eggbert.

Another one with a Dave. I also have a Neil; someone suggested afterwards that I could have called him Chas (which I loved) but he was already Neil by then. I love animals with people names.

I have no suggestions for female names since I only ever have boy cats... maybe Barbara?

We had two black and white tuxedo boys called Jake and Elwood. A one-eyed cat called Nelson and his brother Hardy.

ZaZa? Milou? Macavity? Sylvester?
My feline companion is called CharlieAlphaTango. He's named after the ginger in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

You have to wait to see what they will answer too. Sometimes they just steadfastly refuse to respond until you find something they approve of.

Our last cat would only respond to Beautiful. Not even the flick of a whisker to owt else.
