To ask cat owners for good name suggestions?

Getting a kitten soon. DH doesn't care for cats or their names, four stupid suggestions from DC's. AIBU to think that Play-Doh, Meatballs, Tootsie and Muppet are all truly dire names for a cat that I will have to call -loudly - (not them).

AIBU? If I'm not can cat owners give me some genuine non-twatty suggestions for the new kitten?

We currently have Oliver and Chester but I would love to have a female cat called Linda and another boy called Rigby. DC2 is obsessed by getting a sausage dog and calling it Mark

MIL had a pair of cats called Wayne and Gary, which I loved.

Call him Rupert.

And: Belinda or Barbara
Or: Lionel or Trevor

Ours is call Schrodinger. The vets receptionist sighed when we gave her name.

I have a ginger floof called Harley and a black floof called Mollie. I love Daphne for a girl kitty.

I adopted a cat from the rspca she was named dolly but we weren't keen she was 10months old so wanted to change it to something similar so she wouldn't get confused. She's now called molly which I later found out is the most popular female cat name. My other furball is called hamish

Our cat is called Atticus. It suits him, he acts like a grumpy old man.

I like Baxter and Miss Kubelik, from the movie, The Apartment. The blog site My Cats are Democrats have two 'correspondents' with those names.

How about Eliot as an homage to T S Eliot who wrote the original Cats as adapted by Lloyd Webber? T S Eliot was a big fan of cats.
