For example, someone who would have voted Conservative but will now not or are on the fence because of what is contained in the Conservative manifesto (or Labour, Lib Dem manifesto etc).

No.

makeourfuture · 21/05/2017 14:38

Why no Brexit plan from the Tories?

Just anything really. A few scribbles....anything.

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 21/05/2017 14:39

I just know I won't vote Con or Lab now

PerspicaciaTick · 21/05/2017 14:40

The Tory manifesto is almost enough to drive me to Labour. Not that I ever vote Tory, but because I might have to try and vote tactically (although I doubt my puny vote will help in this very, very blue consituency). I never thought I'd be typing that a week ago.

DoNotBlameMeIVotedRemain · 21/05/2017 14:45

I think the Conservative care for the elderly proposals will be changing a lot of people's votes.

brasty · 21/05/2017 14:46

No but I am very surprised at the Conservatives care for the elderly proposals.

ProudConservative · 21/05/2017 14:47

It's made me realise even more how much of a lunatic Corbyn is.

brasty · 21/05/2017 14:50

The Conservatives care for the elderly proposals will mean even less people will pass on any inheritance. The average stay in residential care is short. But many people have carers visiting for many years. And much of the home care is so inadequate.

Shadowboy · 21/05/2017 14:52

Yes. It's clarified in my mind the Tory is definitely not the way I want to vote. It felt a very cold, calculated and artificial manifesto. I felt like too many figures were left unmentioned - to be filled in after the election. Reminded me how calculated the conservatives can be. I was undecided before.

PortiaCastis · 21/05/2017 14:54

Yes I cannot vote tory
Why are their proposals not costed?

CakeAhoy · 21/05/2017 14:56

Not my mind personally, no.

Completely different story for my approaching-elderly parents and in laws though.

Lifelong Tory voters, whose desire to get rid of 'them immigrants' has been trumped spectacularly by the desire to pass on their hard earned inheritance.

I am genuinely baffled as to why the cons put that in at all. Talk about shouting yourself in the foot.

MeadowHay · 21/05/2017 15:02

No as I was going to vote Labour anyway and still intend to, same with my DH, siblings, and parents.

peppatax · 21/05/2017 15:04

Probably on another thread elsewhere but why is the elderly care proposal such a big issue? Raising the threshold from £23k to £100k surely takes millions out of paying for their care altogether or have I missed something?

TheNaze73 · 21/05/2017 15:06

No however, the Labour one made me feel less inclined to vote for them

tinydancer88 · 21/05/2017 15:10

I will now probably be voting Labour over Lib Dem/Green.

CatThiefKeith · 21/05/2017 15:10

I think all these people saying Corbyn is a lunatic are guilty of reading too much Murdoch news.

I am traditionally a Tory voter, although I have voted green on occasion.

Dh and I will be voting labour this time, as will virtually everyone I have spoke to recently.

Refreshing to have a politician with passion, and that believes in what he is saying.

lalalalyra · 21/05/2017 15:12

@peppatax Aren't people going to be paying more for care at home which affects even more people than the care home issue?

lalalalyra · 21/05/2017 15:13

I haven't changed my mind on the manifestos because I believe the manifestos are barely worth the paper they are written on.

They don't have to commit to following the manifesto so I'll vote for the one that I think will do the least damage and tell the least outright lies in their manifesto.

Grilledaubergines · 21/05/2017 15:17

Have always voted Conservative but this time, it will be Labour.

Medeci · 21/05/2017 15:18

I'd decided not to vote at all as none of the political parties appealed but the Tory manifesto is making me change my mind. I like their ideas for funding elderly care.
I don't think they've shot themselves in the foot. Surely increasing taxation to pay for care would be more unpopular? It would mean that younger people unable to afford to buy a house would be paying for care for those with homes worth millions.

anastaisia · 21/05/2017 15:18

I'll vote lib dem and am most impressed by their manifesto.

But I knew I would, so reading them hasn't changed my mind.

Charmageddon · 21/05/2017 15:22

It's made me realise even more how much of a lunatic Corbyn is.

YY

I wouldn't have voted labour this time in any case because they're a shit show, and not Lib Dem due to Brexit.

But the Labour manifesto has hardened my resolve against labour completely.

He is a nutter & a megalomaniac.

Frankie89 · 21/05/2017 15:29

No my mind hasn't been changed, perhaps reinforced maybe. I am classically a Labour voter but will be voting Lib Dem this time around. It's partly tactical because I live in an extremely blue area but Lib Dems have a small chance to oust the cock in place at the moment, but also because of Brexit.

Wouldn't vote Tory in a million years.

OSETmum · 21/05/2017 15:32

I was going to vote Lib Dem but I'll now be voting labour.

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 21/05/2017 15:34

Just looked at libdems and dont want them either lol
