He is a Labour voter. But he doesn't want the neighbours knowing how we vote, as it's none of their business.

I did say I could put a note on it saying 'not DH' but he still said no.

He's a very private person generally to be fair, but usually lets me get my own way and he won't budge on this one.

WIBU to put it up during the day and take it down again before he comes home everyday?

Whicheans they're socio-economic groups and not class

Exactly, you can't change class that easily but people do change socio-economic groups - they are definitely not the same thing, no matter how much rale wants to believe that they are.

Michael Heseltine I believe defined middle class as buying your own furniture

Ooo we bought some of our furniture, inherited some of it and were given the rest so that's a mix of middle, upper and lower all rolled into one Grin I'm also on unemployment benefits and have been for several years but own a detached house, its a big mess of socio-economic factors!

Well. Some people think it is- some people think it isn't. Why should the dp's wishes take priority?

Because it's his home too and if he doesn't want something broadcast from his house that should be respected. The OP can put on a T-shirt, or walk around in a sandwich board even, but shouldn't try to speak for the whole family.

I wouldn't like it at all. I find voting a personal thing and who I vote for is nothing to do with others. Equally I don't care how others vote. It's their choice and they'll have their own reasons for it, even if it is different to mine.
