Even when my life is a tad on the challenging side, I know that they're there if I really look hard.
This morning's was watching my 10yo DD cycling to school, going her fastest to catch up with her best friend. Her energy & enthusiasm were a joy to behold! It was so simple; it's a moment I'll cherish.
So, AIBU to ask you to share yours? Big or small, fancy or simple!

My youngest DD learning to sing Happy Birthday this morning. We have got as far as 'happeeee' repeated ad nauseam. She is 17 months.

MadamPatti · 04/05/2017 16:00

I won a prize a couple of weeks ago.

I've dried two loads of washing in the sun today.

Ds2's birthday is Election Day and we've discovered today that (unusually) he's got the day off.

The weather is glorious.

RightOnTheEdge · 04/05/2017 16:00

Cutting the top off my boiled egg this morning and it was perfectly runny Smile

DungballInADress · 04/05/2017 16:01

I got picked for a Mumsnet product test that I really really wanted to be a part of and did a little happy dance at my desk when I found out.

And this will probably out me, but here goes. I walk to work and some days I see a dog with his owner. The owner walks to the newsagent and back and on the way back the dog carries the paper home. The dog looks so happy and proud of itself that every time I see them I smile. I'm sure the chap thinks I'm a complete nutter.

My baby laughing his head off at me making funny faces Grin

chocolatesavedmysanity · 04/05/2017 16:03

I got a mahooosive credit card charge refund yesterday. They refunded charges going back a few years and it has meant my balance is reduced by 2/3. I cried for an hour!

Pouncival · 04/05/2017 16:59

One of my clients told me today I am a really good (sports) coach and that I really care about my clients progress Grin

Zaphodsotherhead · 04/05/2017 17:34

Went with my son and his son to a playpark this afternoon and pushed my just-toddling grandson and his dad on a big double swing. Haven't pushed my son on a swing for over twenty years...

Babyblues14 · 04/05/2017 17:39

An ice cream van came round my area for the first time in two years. I relished the moment of eating my magnum and not having to walk to the shop to buy it Grin
I get pleased by nothing

UpYerGansey · 04/05/2017 17:53

Realised that my bf loves me v much.

EphraimWaite · 04/05/2017 17:58

This is a daft one, and most people probably find it annoying, but I love the people who play Quidditch at our local park. This is a fictional sport, that involves broomsticks and semi-sentient flying winged balls. It simply does not work within the physical reality we occupy. I love the attitude that says "fuck that, I'm playing it anyway". Watching them waddle about with broom handles held in their crutches makes me happy - such plucky, can-do spirit!

EphraimWaite · 04/05/2017 17:59

*crotches

Apologies for lowering the tone!

10storeylovesong · 04/05/2017 18:17

After 3 years of trying and 4 mcs, lying on the sofa feeling the baby kick for the first time while listening to my wonderful dh and 4.5 year ds giggling in the bath upstairs. Ds telling me that he loves me and the baby earlier today.

nothruroad · 04/05/2017 18:27

I love the fact that people play quidditch even though it's impossible! The thought has really cheered me up!

Twinklyfaerieglade · 04/05/2017 18:32

I am having a rubbish day. Thank you to all posters, especially the OP for making a bit brighter.

Cocolepew · 04/05/2017 18:45

Watching my dog try to lift 2 fat sticks at the same time. When she went to pick the second one up the first fell out of her mouth and so on all around the garden.
Made me laugh.

GolyHuacamole · 04/05/2017 18:55

Watching my washing blowing in the wind and the house is full of fresh air. It doesn't take a lot Wink

MrsHathaway · 04/05/2017 19:01

I took a bubble wand to pickup today. The toddlers waiting for older siblings were absolutely rapt. It was like being the Pied Piper Grin

plominoagain · 04/05/2017 19:21

Watching my old horse who has been a bit under the weather lately ( had to have a lot of teeth removed ) barge his way out of his stable , dance about like a complete buffoon whilst I took his pyjamas off , then take off up the fields flat out with his tail in the air , and frightening the life out of the younger boss horse by snorting at him like a steam train when he flew past . So silly , but it made me roar this morning. I thought I wasn't likely to see it again

toffeeboffin · 04/05/2017 19:24

The lilac tree is on the point of blossoming.

I told DS to eat his toast the other day, he responded 'no, you eat your porridge' GrinConfused

He's three and full of beans

DD has started rolling onto her tummy Wine

SheSaidHeSaid · 04/05/2017 19:28

The stuck up bully bitch at work, who acts like she can do no wrong and everyone else does nothing but that, received an email from a client last week with a formal complaint listing all the ways shes incompetent. I was copied in to the email for some reason (not my job to have been) and I did a little hop skip and a jump knowing bitch will see I know she's got this huge complaint hanging her her head 😈

YerTiz · 04/05/2017 19:32

I had a lovely squidgy brownie today - it was delicious.

The smell of the florist's flowers as I walked out of the train station.

Standing in my garden when I got home and listening to the birds.

My DC were challenging tonight, but watching them sleep is always a joy Wink

Allyg1185 · 04/05/2017 19:33

I found 9 blue tit eggs in a bird box at work

Managed to go a short distance to the barbers to get my 5 year old haircut without him immediately putting on his dvd player in the car. Had a nice chat

All my windows and doors are open its a beautiful evening

YerTiz · 04/05/2017 19:34

Oh and we're on the waiting list for a puppy!!! It's going to be a while yet but it's lovely to imagine little paws in our house.

YerTiz · 04/05/2017 19:35
