I'm 27 and never tried tea. My OH thinks this is incredibly weird?

The smell just makes me heave.

What 'normal' things have you never tried?

Oh I don't like mars bars either. I like snickers though, but again, it's a rare occasion.

MumBod · 03/05/2017 20:57

Heroin

mrwalkensir · 03/05/2017 20:58

Benjamin Zephaniah on "I've never seen Star Wars" drinking coffee for the first time commented that it tasted like woman...

MumBod · 03/05/2017 20:58

Even though I've heard it's moreish.

carolinescustard · 03/05/2017 20:59

Those of you that don't like tea/coffee , do you have very white/clean teeth?

switswoo81 · 03/05/2017 21:00

I have never drank anything hot even though my family insist a hot toddy is a cure all. They all think I'm weird, I would love to drink tea for the social aspect.

SparklyFairyDust · 03/05/2017 21:01

In this house only I have tea & coffee. It's just one of them things, everyone else drinks squash.

switswoo81 · 03/05/2017 21:01

Caroline have never thought about it but they aren't that stained I suppose don't smoke or drink red wine either.

1happyhippie · 03/05/2017 21:02

I love a cuppa tea.

I also have never eaten cheese. I can not stand the smell. I buy it ready grated for the dc and even that's even to turn my stomach.
I have also never ate a tomatoe

AliCat36 · 03/05/2017 21:02

Love a cup of tea first thing on a morning but coffee the rest of the day.

Oysters are like soggy salt. Vile. Don't try them. Bleurghhhh!

Marmite on cheese toasties is deeelish!

Never tried winkles. I almost dared myself once but couldn't bear to put it in my mouth. I don't feel like I'm missing out though, am quite happy not to eat something that looks like it's been sneezed out of my nose.

AwaywiththePixies27 · 03/05/2017 21:04

Not weird at all OP. I'm a tea addict but the smell of coffee makes me heave.

My BIL has a friend who doesn't like any hot drinks and always asks for squash.

GingerKitCat · 03/05/2017 21:04

Ketchup, mars bars and McDonalds/BK burgers are also horrible!

I have vague recollections of trying a very small sip of tea (without sugar) when I was very young out of curiosity and it confirmed my suspicions that it tasted just like it smelled Grin

piefacedClique · 03/05/2017 21:04

I know tiputipi Insane!!!!

Cagliostro · 03/05/2017 21:04

I've never tried coffee or red wine

Fireinthegrate · 03/05/2017 21:05

Coffee. Have never drunk a cup of the stuff, absolutely cannot bear the smell.
However, weirdly I do like coffee cake 🤔

Ruhrpott · 03/05/2017 21:05

I have never drunk alcohol as I hate the smell of any alcoholic drink.

Ruhrpott · 03/05/2017 21:05

But I love tea

gillybeanz · 03/05/2017 21:06

Not unreasonable, but definitely weird.
What did your mum put in your bottle, when you had outgrown formula? Grin

Consideredintrusion · 03/05/2017 21:06

I have never done a jägerbomb. Only tried avocado last year and I'm -46- 29

tiputipi · 03/05/2017 21:07

It's definitely a social thing which makes me feel like it's strange not to drink it. It also makes me think I sound immature when I decline and ask for water/squash instead.

What is normal anyway?! 😁

tiputipi · 03/05/2017 21:08

Oh gilly, it drives me INSANE when I see children with tea in their bottles!! Yes, it still happens!!

Cellardoor23 · 03/05/2017 21:09

My DP doesn't drink tea or coffee, or any hot drink really.

Happyhippy45 · 03/05/2017 21:10

mumbod
heroin
I was wracking my brain trying to think of something I've not tried........drew the same conclusion as you.

thatorchidmoment · 03/05/2017 21:11

The student midwife who made me my coffee and toast after the birth of my third child actually made me TEA and toast.

That was my first ever cup of tea. If I have anything to do with it, it will also be my last. To go through labour for that, was like a slap in the post-birth fanjo.

YANBU OP. At all.
