I stood in the entrance of M&S for 5 minutes this morning just trying to imagine anyone who this would suit.
It's polyester as well so you couldn't even say it would be good in a heatwave.

I think they are trying to channel Natalie Portman's Oscar dress .........and failing miserably.

Crunchymum · 02/05/2017 15:59

I was coming on to link the Bardot shit dress!

Sorry I mean shift dress Grin Grin Grin

Destinysdaughter · 02/05/2017 16:01

I think fashion has finally eaten itself! On the plus side, think of how much money we'll all save by not buying this Crap...

PickAChew · 02/05/2017 16:03

I noticed a poster with that on, in one store, describing it as a flattering sleeve!

I saw a thick polyester satin top in the big Newcastle store that hung like a lampshade on the mannequins it was on. Will have to see if I can find it.

Oblomov17 · 02/05/2017 16:07

Ha ha. And we wonder why M&S are going down the pan?
They should get Diane Abbott in, to help them with their figures, after her interview today.

Zaphodsotherhead · 02/05/2017 16:08

That dress is going to have a 'smell' isn't it? You know the smell...

hot nylon with a soupcon of sweat, overlaid with a touch of onion.

It has the look of a dress with a 'smell'.

bimbobaggins · 02/05/2017 16:10

Rosie Webster had something similar on in Corrie last night !

TrickyD · 02/05/2017 16:18

It's in the window of our local M&S. God knows who would dash in and beg to try it on.

CaptainCallisto · 02/05/2017 16:22

Anybody else getting an Umbridge vibe...?

That Roksanda dress is actually called a "Margot" dress Grin

I just can't get over the neckline. Why is it so high and weird?

GallicosCats · 02/05/2017 16:47

I didn't know Primark were selling school dresses in a size 18 either TheFarce. Confused

RunningjustasfastasIcan99 · 02/05/2017 16:49

Confess. Bought a flare sleeved top recently. Makes me feel like the great soprendo!

ADisappearingDreamOfYesterday · 02/05/2017 16:57

I bloody love a big drapey sleeve

I do keep forgetting though that I have to use either a wheelchair or crutches - big drapey sleeves, crutch handles/wheelchairs and natural high levels of clumsiness - not a good combination. The Big White Sleeved Jumper recently gave DH a good giggle when my sleeves got entangled in my spokes in Asda recently Grin

I've not worn the useless twatting fucker since Angry

ADisappearingDreamOfYesterday · 02/05/2017 16:58

Just to clarify, the jumper is the useless twatting fucker, not DH Blush

Op, it's like a nasty hospital gown Shock

And as for the sack of shit dress... literally speechless.

deadringer · 02/05/2017 17:09

Bimbo you beat me to it, i was just coming on to say it looked like the one rosie was wearing. It was awful on her, made her look like she had a tummy when she is stick thin.

TabascoToastie · 02/05/2017 17:10

It has a certain campy Stepford Wives aesthetic.

Hillarious · 02/05/2017 17:11

Minus the tie-back bit, that was my bridesmaid dress - 1974!

Lambzig · 02/05/2017 17:12

I saw that yellow dress in m&s today. Lovely quality cotton, really nice detailing, very pretty, but a hideous shade of yellow that very few could wear. Why do they do it?

It feels like they latch onto a trend (bell sleeves, yellow) and then insist on making every garment like that. Everything was bell sleeved, off the shoulder or both.

I wonder if the praise they get at press days for these statement garments goes to their heads and they just over design every garment.

I saw that pink dress, truly alarming, but there was so much other awfulness including this www.marksandspencer.com/pleated-tie-long-sleeve-blouse/p/p22509383?image=SD_01_T43_1041U_FU_X_EC_90&color=FUCHSIA&prevPage=plp

@Lambzig Bloody hell, we have been transported back to the 70s!!!! I don't wanna go! Hellllp.

BlackeyedSusan · 02/05/2017 17:23

omg. so 70s

Abbey0134 · 02/05/2017 17:30

The pink dress is featured in this month's good housekeeping magazine and looks lovely. So I ordered it, OMG it is awful. It is probably the worst dress I have ever tried on. The fabric is heavy and ugly. Truly awful!

TaliDiNozzo · 02/05/2017 17:36

Gosh it's dreadful isn't it? Although it does remind me of something Victoria Beckham would design/wear.
