The other half days you cannot wear a jumper without a t-shirt underneath but then complains he's too hot. I wear a jumper but no t-shirt underneath
Whose right

I wear a t-shirt and jumper. If I'm too hot I remove jumper. Hardly rocket science.

tatty1010 · 16/04/2017 17:41

I'm with your other half Grin

OvO · 16/04/2017 17:43

He's right.

Huldra · 16/04/2017 17:43

You can wear a t-shirt under a jumper.
You can weat a jumper with no base layer.

He should wear a vest under a jumper, or a long sleeve t-shirt. Or a tshirt with hoody or cardigan, then he can adjust the zip as the day goes on.

Rainydayspending · 16/04/2017 17:43

Jumpers are top layers. T-shirts base/ mid layers. He needs a base layer that's thinner (such as the Sheldon Cooper look). Jumper with nothing else Shock but what do you do when you get warmer in public? (Or have hot flushes)

longlostpal · 16/04/2017 17:45

He's right. Otherwise you'd have to wash your jumpers after every wear.

0live · 16/04/2017 17:45

Your partner is right.

First time I've ever posted that on MN BTW

KirstyJC · 16/04/2017 17:47

He's right - of course a jumper is a top layer, so you wear a T shirt underneath.

You layer up - get hot, take top layer off, get cold, put it back on.

If it's hot enough to wear only one layer then it would be a T shirt only.

HardcoreLadyType · 16/04/2017 17:47

I'm wearing a tshirt under a hoody, as I type. It's only a light hoody, though.

Sometimes I don't wear a tshirt under a jumper.

I like to mix it up a bit. Wild!

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 16/04/2017 17:48

You can wear a jumper, a t shirt or both. I'd say you can't wear a cardigan or zip up hoody without a layer underneath.

KirstyJC · 16/04/2017 17:48

Oooh yes and you would need to wash the jumper every wear. (Rather than wear the same one on/off for about 3 weeks.......!)

expatinscotland · 16/04/2017 17:48

He is right of course.

Maudlinmaud · 16/04/2017 17:49

Depends what kind of jumper. Polo necks, cowl necks, v necks etc no jumper. Sometimes I wear a shirt and jumper.

HermioneJeanGranger · 16/04/2017 17:49

He's right - sorry!

Maudlinmaud · 16/04/2017 17:50

I meant no t shirt / vest under. [Tbugrin] Wine

harderandharder2breathe · 16/04/2017 17:50

He's right but I'm very warm blooded so my jumpers only ever go on for five minutes before I'm too warm so I need the t shirt to stay decent

MewlingQuim · 16/04/2017 17:51

In my youth I would never have worn a jumper without something underneath so I could take the jumper off if I got too hot. I faint if I overheat which is very embarrassing, as is having to sit around in just a bra.

Now I am a middle aged lady I wear cardigans instead

thedevilinablackdress · 16/04/2017 17:51

Yup, he's right. A t-shirt at least, usually long sleeved. And a vest, always a vest. Till June.

SLLM · 16/04/2017 17:53

But what if it was warm enough for just the jumper and any extra layers made you hotter Shock I've genuinely never worn a t shirt under a jumper Blush

PlasticLamp · 16/04/2017 17:54

I never wear jumpers without a t-shirt underneath. It would be really weird. What if I got too warm?

thedevilinablackdress · 16/04/2017 17:56

If he's too hot in that combi then a shirt over a t shirt or a cotton sweatshirt instead of a jumper? I'd find no t shirt under a jumper itchy and wierdly a bit sweaty. And as PP said they'd need washed more often which would reduce the lifespan

HermioneJeanGranger · 16/04/2017 17:57

thedevilinablackdress · 16/04/2017 17:59

And yes, layers! As Plastic says, what happens if you are too hot in your jumper?

It's not primness which turns us to cardis (I'm wearing a zipped hoody one, not a twinset type thing) - its because meno buggers temperature regulation.
