AIBU to want my goat?

OK, so I've read on here that apparently council tenants are getting free goats (on top of getting almost free housing)!

I feel this is massive discrimination against us private tenants who pay full rent. I demand equal rights, and I want my goat!!!

AIBU? 😂😂

Am I the only one with the council rule books. You can shoot it if it eats your children but not your camellia.

AstrantiaMajor · 12/04/2017 15:07

You can however shoot your neighbour.

HappyFlappy · 12/04/2017 15:51

if it was up to me I would give you a Giraffe for sheer impressive knowledge

Thank you . . .

Ungulate poo must not be put into recycling bins

That's OK. I intend to compost it.

HappyFlappy · 12/04/2017 15:53

I have a very old council rule bppk. It is in Latin.

I doubt it will have the updates in it.

Vegansnake · 12/04/2017 15:56

There won't be any goats left now people are eating them for Easter instead of lambies...baahhh

If I use my alpaca to carry my shopping will it be ok to leave it tied up outside the loo or will it be stolen? looks on amazon for alpaca clamp

Astro55 · 12/04/2017 17:08

If I use my alpaca to carry my shopping

That needs to be accessed under the mobility scheme - you may need insurance

Patriciathestripper1 · 12/04/2017 17:25

This is a mine field swigs unpasteurised alpaca milk from hand whittled bowl

ChrisYoungFuckingRocks · 12/04/2017 17:30

If I use my alpaca to carry my shopping

From my local bylaws: Protection of domestic pack animals section 371 subsection c5.3.2.11: If a lama/alpaca/donkey/goat is to be used a a pack animal, it has to be registered as such with the local council and RSPCA. Failure to do so may result in the removal of said animal and a hefty fine to the offending owner. If said pack animal is to be used with a cart, see subsection z9.11.3.3a.

You're right Patricia - it is a minefield!

Still bloody loving this thread after a very hard day 🤣

TeenageCentaurMortificado · 12/04/2017 17:33

Chris have they updated the section on minefieds on council house property?

ChrisYoungFuckingRocks · 12/04/2017 17:33

And don't even get me started on the consumption of unpasteurised alpaca milk Hmm. Or hand whittled bowls! Has it been treated for woodworm?

We have local Alpacas, not sure if they are benefit scrounged Alpacas though. I've never seen them down the job centre.

ChrisYoungFuckingRocks · 12/04/2017 17:35

Teenage - the last update I read on minefields was that they're OK, as long as the council kids are supplied with a map of where the mines are planted. Private tenants just have to guess. Grin

But what about the council goats on council owned minefields??? Mind Blown and goats blown up

ChrisYoungFuckingRocks · 12/04/2017 17:44

I know Teenage - it really gets my goat how complicated they make things. Perhaps the council have sniffer goats?

I'm unclear as to my entitlement. We own (along with the bank of course) a semi detached house. Not quite alpaca but possibly one step up from a llama??? Whatever it is I want my rights

listsandbudgets · 12/04/2017 18:27

Ahhhh just spotted I can have an ungulate! I've always wanted a hippo - off to fill my forms out in triplicate

How about posting in triplicate instead Grin

TeenageCentaurMortificado · 12/04/2017 18:31

Dammit you only did it twice!

JustAnotherPoster00 · 12/04/2017 19:12

Next door's goat has started bullying my goat should I call 101 and report?

They will also log it for future reference, if its a kid I'd call the school as well it could be a safegoating issue

HappyFlappy · 12/04/2017 20:35

Do you have a pond Budgets? Hippos need somewhere to frolic and wallow.

Alternatively you can put a hippo flap in the back door, and leave the door to the bathroom open all day. Slather the sides of the bath with vaseline to stop it getting stuck. You wouldn't believe the palaver it causes when you have to call the Fire Brigade to to release a jammed hippo. then the RSPCA get involved another are questions about whether the hippo licence extends to those tick-eating birds and before you know what happens the whole thing has snowballed

EvilDoctorBallerinaDuck · 12/04/2017 20:44

I've tried posting this a few times - bloody 3G - so I can persuade my adult son on DLA to move back in and I'll get a goat? Or not if I'm a private tenant? ConfusedConfused
