to ask if this was rude thing for stranger to say about DH?

Over the last 2 years, DH has often been mistaken for being a certain theatre singer. It's probably happened about 15-20 times - usually if we're out in Soho, but also on holiday in NYC. I must admit, I had never heard of this singer, but I have now. It is usually groups of Korean or Japanese women who approach him and often they either don't understand / don't accept that he is not who they think he is and just take photos or selfies anyway A few times he has signed "autographs" with a squiggle just to get away and out of the crowd.

Tonight we were leaving a restaurant and five Korean ladies asked DH if he was this person. They did speak quite good English and accepted that he is not, but one of them whispered to me that only some people have doubles and if DH ever sees or meets "the other one" then it's bad luck and "the end". I know this is ridiculous to post about, but the way she said it and looked at me has unnerved me for some reason. I'm not superstitious, but she has given me the creeps. Can I ask if anyone else has a so-called "double" and has anyone ever heard of anything like this at all?

When I was younger, and BT phone cards existed, I saw my double printed on one! It was raising awareness of homelessness or something.

I didn't drop down dead, it was only slightly jarring. But now I know she's out there.

I've never really heard of it. I googled this singer and DH is quite like him when he has a beard, but the singer is an actor anyway and always changing for roles. The woman was just so creepy tonight. Normally I would take no notice, but the whole thing is odd anyway.

No it's not Alfiie Boe. It's an American singer called Ramin Karimloo. He seems very famous with Japanese and Koreans in particular. When DH has facial hair he gets it more.
