To think I'm not a 'greedy pig' for eating this?

Been running about all day at work. I had an apple for breakfast and a small sandwich for lunch (at about 12!). Just got in and made myself a couple of toasties- two slices of milk roll and a small amount of cheese so in total I had four slices of milk roll and maybe a handful of grated cheese.

I'd just sat down to eat when my neighbour popped in to drop of a package for me. She saw what I was eating and said 'Oh I'd feel like a greedy pig if I ate that much.' The way she said it made it clear she wasn't talking about herself but was judging me.

I've had my issues with food in the past and now I'm wondering- am I a greedy pig? I've had a long, stressful day and I just wanted something quick to eat before I keeled over!

Am I being unreasonable what what I've had for tea or is she just a goady fucker?!

Did your neighbour look startled :o
Don't suppose we'll see that poster again

I think she thinks I've quite lost the plot. Safe to say, she's never heard of Mumsnet and actually doesn't even have the internet.

Haha this is hilarious! You must have got such a fright OP.

Userwhateveryournameis, have you really got nothing better to do with your time?

Erm… I'd eat everything you ate today for lunch alone. Your judgey-pants friend is fixing to have a milk-roll shoved up her schnozz. Next time she says something like that, respond with, "Ooooh, you have food issues? I'm sorry to hear it. Difficult childhood?" Put the awkwardness RIGHT back in her court.

Also the user with the weird calorie-counting fixation - you've seen the research and how those apps/trackers can have negative effects on self-esteem and health, right? (Disclosure: I have both and am very conscious of how I use them for precisely these reasons.)

Actually not sure why I'm saying this. You're probably already off pretending to be someone else's neighbour by now. Maybe the one scandalised about the bush cutting accident. Who knows. Hmm

Ha ha, I get these comments from acquaintances all the time.

I'm a rake, my metabolism is through the roof - it always has been. So I eat loads and burn it off instantly...yes you can all hate me. Well I either get "I'd get fat if I ate all that" or if I complain about being hungry it's "well why don't you eat more!" I literally can't fucking win.

Long story short, your neighbour is jealous and trying to make you feel her own insecurity. I hope you still ate that delicious meal and enjoyed the fuck of it.
