To think I'm not a 'greedy pig' for eating this?

Been running about all day at work. I had an apple for breakfast and a small sandwich for lunch (at about 12!). Just got in and made myself a couple of toasties- two slices of milk roll and a small amount of cheese so in total I had four slices of milk roll and maybe a handful of grated cheese.

I'd just sat down to eat when my neighbour popped in to drop of a package for me. She saw what I was eating and said 'Oh I'd feel like a greedy pig if I ate that much.' The way she said it made it clear she wasn't talking about herself but was judging me.

I've had my issues with food in the past and now I'm wondering- am I a greedy pig? I've had a long, stressful day and I just wanted something quick to eat before I keeled over!

Am I being unreasonable what what I've had for tea or is she just a goady fucker?!

4 slices if milk roll= 1 slice of ordinary bread in my mind so fuck her.

PenelopeFlintstone · 31/03/2017 01:03

Definitely not a "greedy pig". She's rude and unreasonable. I hate people being the food police.

e1y1 · 31/03/2017 01:33

I'd have replied "well you wouldn't have guessed it", but then I'm a bitch.

And agree, I can't believe Milk Roll isn't well know by everyone, I have bought it on a couple of occasions in the last few months as I hadn't had it for years, and each time I haven't got around to using it :(

Anyone think there's going to be some very puzzled supermarkets having a spike in milk roll sales tomorrow?!

TheMaddHugger · 31/03/2017 02:30

Aussie here, I had to Google Milk Roll too.
Sounds nice.

WildKiwi · 31/03/2017 02:42

I'd rather be a greedy pig than a rude cow!

And that really doesn't sound like a lot of food (not that it's anyone's business). Enjoy your chocolate!

Pigface1 · 31/03/2017 07:38

Also had to google milk roll!! Grin

AliceByTheMoon · 31/03/2017 07:50

I had to google milk roll too!

I like what a pp said; it's 'competitive under-eating'.

Your neighbour has ishoos.

Casschops · 31/03/2017 08:10

It's none of her business nosey beggar, eat what and when you like.

MaidenMotherCrone · 31/03/2017 09:16

FYI milk roll is really, really not worth popping out for. It's just small, round slices of bread. It's thin too.

JessieMcJessie · 31/03/2017 10:16

I'd have put more than a handful of cheese over the two toasties, you need a decent amount to make it worthwhile. I'm not overweight. Your neighbour sounds like the classic "engage mouth before brain" type. Ignore ignore.

BarbaraofSeville · 31/03/2017 11:03

Not the point of the thread but I'm shocked at the number of people who've never heard of milk roll.

But the slices are tiny and thin. 4 slices are probably the same as 2 of normal bread.

CoraPirbright · 31/03/2017 11:06

I too am off to google milk roll!!

Is your neighbour usually so bloody rude? She needs to fuck off.

Enjoy your chocolate!!

CoraPirbright · 31/03/2017 11:08

Hmm sounds rather good!

livefornaps · 31/03/2017 13:42

It doesn't matter what you ate or when! You don't need to justify yourself, whatever you were eating...that comment was made with the sole intention of making you feel awful. What a TWAT. She must be one miserable person.

We're all a long time dead anyway; what a shame she wants to waste her time being awful. You gotta feel sorry for some people.

Love the fact you waved your massive chocolate bar in her face!!! Baaaahahaha

OhJustPassTheCake · 31/03/2017 13:45

no, your neighbour is just a cockwomble xxx

dustarr73 · 01/04/2017 00:31

I've never heard of it either.Plus not everyone on this site is English.So.

TheLeftPhalange · 01/04/2017 00:40

Flamin' ell, milk rolls are tiny! Sounds a perfectly yummy thing to eat to me, I need a toastie now! Smile
No way are you being a pig. Christ, she'd have a fainting fit at what I can put away lol

LorLorr2 · 01/04/2017 00:42

It honestly sounds like your neighbour has her own issues with food. Maybe someone has called her greedy in the past or she puts weight on easily and is jealous at how much you can eat? I just don't believe someone would even have the idea to say something so sly without having a reason deep down! It's not really normal to make a comment like she did.

TheLeftPhalange · 01/04/2017 00:44

Milk roll for those wondering what it is Smile

BakedBeeeen · 01/04/2017 02:56

How rude!! Eat what you want, no one needs to comment.
I have just eaten my 3 year old's Easter egg for a snack because I was craving some sugar and decided I needed it more than him! (Lack of sleep due to newborn).

ColouringMandalas · 01/04/2017 03:08

"Oh, that's interesting because I'd feel like a rude cow 🐮 if I said something like that"

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 01/04/2017 03:14

Is milk roll kind of like Wonder Bread (for those of you who know what wonder bread is! not sure if it's only North American or not)

Toasties are awesome anyways. YANBU!!

BarbaraofSeville · 01/04/2017 08:22

Apologies for assuming everyone is in the UK, but most will be and Milk Roll, or Blackpool Milk Roll as it used to be known has been widely available in most supermarkets all my life so it would seem reasonable to think most people had seen it as it is quite distinctive, or perhaps it is a northern thing?

It was one of those things we always wanted as a child because of the cute novelty factor of a little round loaf but didn't have it because it is relatively expensive for a large family, being a small loaf for the price of a big one. So for parties only really.
