To think I'm not a 'greedy pig' for eating this?

Been running about all day at work. I had an apple for breakfast and a small sandwich for lunch (at about 12!). Just got in and made myself a couple of toasties- two slices of milk roll and a small amount of cheese so in total I had four slices of milk roll and maybe a handful of grated cheese.

I'd just sat down to eat when my neighbour popped in to drop of a package for me. She saw what I was eating and said 'Oh I'd feel like a greedy pig if I ate that much.' The way she said it made it clear she wasn't talking about herself but was judging me.

I've had my issues with food in the past and now I'm wondering- am I a greedy pig? I've had a long, stressful day and I just wanted something quick to eat before I keeled over!

Am I being unreasonable what what I've had for tea or is she just a goady fucker?!

Ah, I'm not stressed. I just really fancy something sweet. I'll probably have four or five squares while watching a film and stick the rest in the fridge for later. I'd actually much rather have dark chocolate but don't have any so it'll have to do. (I know, I'm hard done by today.)

Definitely not a greedy pig. That's like a snack to most people, I think. It's quite low in calories!

ImportSave · 30/03/2017 20:36

I never realised milk roll wasn't widely known! I love it, especially with peanut butter!

I'd have laughed. 'It's a good thing I'm not you then. Mmm.'

FlyingFordAnglia · 30/03/2017 20:38

Love that you waved the chocolate in her face on the way back! But YABU because now I have to buy milk roll tomorrow!! I haven't had it in years!

Gluetap · 30/03/2017 20:43

Love milk roll. Bought some earlier and am now wanting some with jam!

honeyroar · 30/03/2017 20:44

Throw it right back at her next time... "Really?? You don't look like someone shy of eating the odd snack or two!"

pinkblink · 30/03/2017 20:48

Milk roll isn't even a proper slice! I'd have had 3 toasties

itsbetterthanabox · 30/03/2017 20:50

I've googled and I still can't work out what milk roll is! What is it?

Vegansnake · 30/03/2017 20:55

How fucking rude of her...flip her a finger and munch away

expatinscotland · 30/03/2017 20:56

I'm surprised no one has come on here to scold you for eating white bread and cheese (full of fat, processed) Grin, or counted up how many calories are in the toastie and told you off for it.

Ollivander84 · 30/03/2017 20:57

itsbetter - it's bread but round slices and goes brittle when you toast it Grin

HelenaGWells · 30/03/2017 20:58

Milk roll is a small round bread. I know it as Blackpool milk roll! I had it as a kid but I don't think it's as common now (or maybe it's because I moved out of Lancashire)

OP I bloody love you for this Neighbour was on the path so I waved it in her face on the way past. It's not even tea, it's a snack!

228agreenend · 30/03/2017 20:59

Love milk roll. Gonna go and have to buy some now. Your meal sounds fine, and delicious.

DingDongtheWitchIsDangDiddlyDe · 30/03/2017 20:59

I haven't had milk roll in decades! IIRC, its quite small and thin anyway, you'd need a couple of rounds if hungry.
Fuck her anyway. None of her business what you eat. I hate people who comment on what others eat, its so rude.

SlinkyTink · 30/03/2017 20:59

Yum Milk rolll. They sell it at Tescos for 80p

Lesson learnt! Always hide your food in case of neighbours popping by. Seriously, I have shelf on my coffee table for my crisps and chocs. I leave a few raisin and nuts on top of the coffee table. For viewing only.

ThePiglet59 · 30/03/2017 21:02

Oh my God!
It's ...northern...!

FunnysInLaJardin · 30/03/2017 21:03

Meh! Some folk revel in competitive under eating. I used to get this sort of comment from all of the dieters at my old work. Mostly thick as shit they were, so it went over my head.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 30/03/2017 21:04

Thank goodness you didn't let her get to you.
Seriously OP, you need to eat more !
Your neighbour is crude and goady, bet she didn't half want some of your chocolate ! 😂⭐️

diddl · 30/03/2017 21:04

Milk roll-looks about as substantial as fresh air!!

I'd usually only have two slices for a toastie-(of proper bread)-but that would be in the evening after amain cooked meal at lunch.

You don't seem to have eaten much at all all day.

MamaHanji · 30/03/2017 21:08

She'd throw up if she saw what I eat in a day.

dontcallmethatyoucunt · 30/03/2017 21:08

She's jealous. And a cunt

highinthesky · 30/03/2017 21:11

You're not a greedy pig, she's a siiiillly siiiillly biiitch.

foxyloxy78 · 30/03/2017 21:11

You are not greedy. Your neighbour is an absolute twit. I just ate two cream eggs! Enjoy your choc. Grin
