Over the course of a couple of threads recently my attention has been brought to the site UK Punting.

Basically where 'punters' go to rate working girl's and (the married ones) laugh about their wives and swap tips on how to avoid detection.

Apparently the poor little lambs can't help themselves.

AIBU that those of us who are genuinely pissed off with the misogynistic bullshit half of the users spout on there should set up fake profiles (not using your usual email address) and spam the shit of them?

And this isn't against WGs....you can do what you like with your body. It's the disgusting human beings that are cheating on their wives and partners and being smug thinking it's a bloody game...

If you 'take action' then be prepared for them to retaliate - I imagine that they are quite capable of fucking with the site, and do we really want a repeat of Jeffreygate, with all the SWAT teams etc?

I discovered my ex husband had used prostitutes through this site so I'm weirdly grateful it exists-whilst finding it utterly vile. Otherwise I wouldn't have known that he had brought crack addicted prostitutes into our own bed while I visited my parents with our baby cos he was too busy to come with me.

I am not the least bit offended by the ukp site because I am not going to go and look on it. It's simple really! Try not to be bothered by randoms being wrong on the internet, especially in their own little corner. Which is the best place for them. And don't go poking the wasps nest, no good will come of it.

UK Punting is grim. Last time it was mentioned on here I had a look and came across a man who was complaining about all the selfish bitch hookers who will only do cam work while pregnant when he wants to fuck real pregnant women.

I believe there are other sites like AdultWork where WG can get reviews and work without the unrelenting grimness of punternet.

Incidentally I find some of the posts on here assuming that johns must be working class manual workers driving vans really snobby and also apparently not accurate either.

A much better idea would be to make sure we vote against policies that are more likely to leave women so desperate that they turn to escorting/prostitution because they have no other choice if they want to put food on the table. With Universal Credit some are going weeks and in some cases months without money.

When the HB cut for 18 to 21 year olds come in this will limit their choices too. A zero hour contract or workfare or £3.40 an hour "apprenticeship" does not buy food AND pay rent AND the council tax gas bill electric etc.

UK should adopt Nordic Model approach to prostitution. Then such websites will go away all by themselves.

Exactly. As far as I know that's part of the Nordic Model approach, though I have heard it is being watered down in the some countries, so we should make sure there's an emphasis on keeping women out of poverty, too.

Of course not Bill. A few years back there was a poster on here called 22honey She had exited the industry but posted on here how she had seen an increase in women ( a lot of them single parents) entering the industry since 2010.

I myself ended up working in a sex chatline office for two years from early 2001 when my choice was that or workfare.

But if we refuse to accept policies that place working class women at an economic disadvantage (poverty) that will widen their choices and decrease the chances of working class women entering the industry because they feel they have no choice.

Prostitution isn't known as the world's oldest profession for nothing. What do you think you're going to achieve by spamming a site? It certainly isn't going to put a stop to something that had been going on for hundreds (thousands?) of years before computers were invented.

Nope. Prostitution will never disappear. But it could be rarer. Fewer women and children could be ensnared in that world if there were better options and more protection.

Name one country that actually implemented communism and did not have a ruling caste, consisting of males, emerge pretty much immediately.

Where there is a class of people who have more money than the majority, there is likely to be a class of people that has less.

In the DDR, the government actually employed women to prostitute themselves and spy on the punters. How voluntery the prostitution part of this was is anyone's guess.

What's the point in talking about them and giving them attention? It only fuels them. There are sites like this all over the Internet and we cannot do anything about it.

I don't care if this is an unpopular opinion but I would rather men like that be in one place such as that site than it be closed down. Prostitution is the oldest profession it will always be about and there will always be men paying for it, the internet is the future and websites like this will become more popular unfortunately.
There was a petition a few years ago to shut down another site like this I think it was called PuntNet or something like that? It didn't get far and the website is probably still live and kicking.

Yes there are some terrible things said on there but is it any different to twitter trolls or those who make fake accounts on FB or IG and troll people without the fear of being found out? Thanks to the net people can do this and will.
