So I woke up this morning and came downstairs and my DH was like 'oh my god what happened to your head?'
I went to the mirror and I have dent in my head ?!?
It wasn't there last night and I have no recollection of banging it. It's a tiny bit tender to touch but nothing major and there's no bruising or cuts. Has this ever happened to anyone before? What could it be?
Dr google says it's aliens so that's helpful.

I'm not sure a Fitbit dent would last so long.

I think your brain may have dislodged slightly.

Okite · 20/03/2017 13:31

I have a very dented, lumpy head but none that appear overnight. It looks triangular, and much bigger than a Fitbit. How very odd

BlueFolly · 20/03/2017 13:47

A Fitbit dent would've gone by now, surely?

Maxwellthecat · 20/03/2017 13:48

Have you been stressed lately? Apparently the pressure/fluid in your head can cause a dent?? that came from google so probably a load of rubbish Confused

Maxwellthecat · 20/03/2017 14:05

Not particularly, i am pretty chilled out to be honest.

Maybe you pressed it hard as part of a vivid dream, where you were portraying a brilliant scientist who had such a fantastic genius idea she had to vigorously prod her head while exclaiming THIS IS THE BEST IDEA THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEEN

leghoul · 20/03/2017 14:32

I can't think of any worrying pathology that would present like that so quickly (bone lesions etc wouldnt come up overnight and dent your forehead)

jay55 · 20/03/2017 14:33

Have you been in a war zone?
My grandad developed a dent in his forehead, that then turned into a big lump as shrapnel from the war moved in and then out.
Hope it's aliens.

leghoul · 20/03/2017 14:34

The only serious things I could think of are hyperparathyroidism or myeloma but these wouldn't leave holes in your skull in such a quick or noticeable fashion

Maxwellthecat · 20/03/2017 15:15

You can definitely feel a dent, it's gross.

If I sleepwalked could I have just got back into bed without noticing???

OP posts:
picklemepopcorn · 20/03/2017 16:12

You absolutely can sleepwalk and go back to bed. You can make yourself a sandwich, eat it and go back to bed. No problem.

Maxwellthecat · 20/03/2017 16:22
Shock Oh my god I'm a sleepwalking alien denty head!

Blatantly place-marking to see if it's gone by the morning

Goldfishjane · 20/03/2017 16:28

I had a dent in the back of my head one morning when I woke up, i was alerted to it because it hurt - maybe I did sleepwalk?

it was quite funny because I went to work, got my boss to feel my head and she was all "oh this is ridiculous....I don't know what the back of your head feels like, what am I looking for....oh wait, no, that's not normal..." (as she hit the point where the dent was).

and then she said to me "go to the doc".

I couldn't be arsed and became undented in about 3 days. Still no idea what it was!!

Ginkypig · 20/03/2017 16:49

Haha dent update! Brilliant!

I have a dent at the top of my forehead at the hairline that I am Positive was not there for at least the first 20something years of my life but it's there now and has never gone or changed since I "found" it.

It doesn't hurt and I generally ignore it.

LBOCS2 · 20/03/2017 16:55

Has anyone else read this whole thread and now decided that 'dent' is quite clearly a ridiculous, made up word? I've read it so many times that it just looks wrong.

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 20/03/2017 16:56

have you tried blowing up a balloon or something to see if it pop out?
