I'm not talking about his politics. I mean him.

I first started to like him when I saw him in that BBC documentary a few years ago, "Inside the Commons". I liked his artful filibustering.

Then I thought he came across well in that Channel 5 documentary about MPs in their constituencies Behind Closed Doors.

he's just so deliciously of a type.

Yabvu. But I think you know that.

Cheby · 19/03/2017 14:01

Yup. YABVU.

Dry heave.

Eolian · 19/03/2017 14:05

YABVU. I went to the same Oxford college as him and saw him strutting along in the 3 piece suit he always wore. He was a figure of some amusement to the other students. I seem to remember that the JCR clubbed together to buy him a pair of jeans. Grin

iklboo · 19/03/2017 14:05

He's like the love child of Peter Mandelson & Louis Theroux!

Prole · 19/03/2017 14:05

I always despised him until I discovered he was a good pal to Mhairi Black. A Tory Toff who doesn't mind Leftie Lesbians!

OrlandoTheCat · 19/03/2017 14:06

I don't mean physically.....! sorry, should've made that clear.

I think he is an amazingly good sport when he goes on HIGNFY and they take the piss constantly. He still goes back.

Thattimeofyearagain · 19/03/2017 14:07

There are no words .................Shock

Scribblegirl · 19/03/2017 14:07

I'm the most liberal guardianista ever... and I get it Blush

ShowMePotatoSalad · 19/03/2017 14:08

iklboo how dare you!!! That's an insult to Peter Mandelson and Louis Theroux! (The latter being actually crush-worthy). Grin

BigChocFrenzy · 19/03/2017 14:09

You fancy a posh bloke who still carts his nanny around and who took £7.5 million state benefits from the Chancellor to do up his wife's stately home (he only votes against benefits for poor people)

eddiemairswife · 19/03/2017 14:10

There is something rather endearing about him.

MrsMarigold · 19/03/2017 14:10

Such a phoney

Despairbunny · 19/03/2017 14:10

Grim. He is a fucking prick. And gross to look at.

YABVU

Strix · 19/03/2017 14:11

Yuk. And double yuk.

EffinElle · 19/03/2017 14:12

Yabvu he's a cunt!

Mynestisfullofempty · 19/03/2017 14:12

Victoria Coren_Mitchell told him she found him very attractive when they were on a TV show. He just replied "My wife is in the audience" Grin I can't see the attraction myself.

intheknickersoftime · 19/03/2017 14:16

The only reason Rees Mogg is friends with Black is to wind up Labour.

Hulder · 19/03/2017 14:17

YABVU.

DH used to have an old-fashioned suitcase he insisted on taking on holiday, even though everyone moved to trolleycases 20 years ago.

I used to call the suitcase Jacob. DH agreed to take it to the tip Grin

squishysquirmy · 19/03/2017 14:17

Ew. YABU.
I don't think he is an evil man or anything, although his values are very different to my own.
He seems very dim to me, walking proof of the fact that lots of money will buy an education, but not intellect.

Despairbunny · 19/03/2017 14:18

intheknickersoftime yes absolutely agree there.

SwedishEdith · 19/03/2017 14:21

No, this how the normalising of these people starts. I remember when people used to confess to fancying Boris. That's how they're seen as "cute" and "national treasures". Admittedly, I have never heard of anyone fancying Farage.

SwedishEdith · 19/03/2017 14:23

"He seems very dim to me, walking proof of the fact that lots of money will buy an education, but not intellect."

Completely. Being articulate can mask a lack of thinking capability.
