It's in a very similar vein to the playboy model who body shamed the woman who was showering in an American gym last year, and it's just awful.

My DH and I joined a gym and I used to hate going for fear I would look ridiculous, and I know others feel the same.

I hope she is banned from the gym at the very least.

What an absolute cunt. I am chubby and this is exactly the kind of thing that puts me off going to the gym. How bloody sad and pathetic her life must be. Girl in the picture can lose weight and is clearly trying to, woman who took it will probably always be poisonous.

I think a barely literate woman who looks like a drag queen is on very shaky ground when it comes to criticising other people! And yes people like her are the reason people like me don't go to a gym.

Please don't think that this is common at gyms OR in the body building industry. It isn't. We are not all "fat shaming" arseholes -in fact all of the people I know at my gym would happily go out of their way to help a new member if asked, or wouldn't bat an eyelid at somebody with a larger frame using equipment. I have a couple in my class at the gym currently who are losing weight and getting fit. They both have a considerable amount to lose (we had a chat and they told me this) and are doing fantastically. Not one person in the class has ever made a snide comment or laughed at any efforts.

Please don't let this put you (general 'you') off. The vast majority of regular gym-goers have zero judgement of anyone else. It's a million times harder to drag yourself to a gym when you're overweight and unfit than when you're already slim.

I'm in worse shape than the woman she took a photograph of, which is why I'm going to the gym. I've had nothing but positive comments (from people who see me regularly who've noticed a difference), and even in the male dominated weights section, they couldn't be nicer, helping with equipment and giving advice on form.
In my experience, it's not cool to be one of the "mean girls" at the gym, and she'll probably learn that the hard way after posting what she did.

I know a female bodybuilder who is buff beyond belief, and she would be horrified and outraged if one of her "tribe" did or said anything like that.

She'd be first in line to encourage, help, inspire or advise anyone who had come to the gym to better themselves. Who would do otherwise (apart from this horrible woman obviously).

I am going to send her this link and see if she knows her, they don't live too far apart and the bb community is pretty tight.

Stupid nasty bitches, anyone who is overweight or unfit and goes to the gym derserves respect for making the effort-you never know someone's story and they don't know why they are overweight or unfit but at least they are there and not taking mocking bullying photos, if she was working out properly she wouldn't have noticed other gym goers!

I don't think that's a fair stick to beat anyone with. Not everyone has had the same education and not everyone is good at written English.

I know a few people who are barely literate but they're not nasty, horrible people like this body builder is.
