To think this is why many people stay away from gyms?

It's in a very similar vein to the playboy model who body shamed the woman who was showering in an American gym last year, and it's just awful.

My DH and I joined a gym and I used to hate going for fear I would look ridiculous, and I know others feel the same.

I hope she is banned from the gym at the very least.

Stupid vacuous bint. I'm heavily into the gym, love my weights, love micromanaging my diet BUT ITS NOT THE LAW. And this silly cow attacking someone for making positive action .... be it to lose weight or just maintain her fitness is a bit like bullying a jobless person for being at a jobs fair.

Aeroflotgirl · 14/03/2017 13:09

It is a pathetic attempt at an apology, she is not sorry, just that she got caught.

Miserylovescompany2 · 14/03/2017 13:11

What exactly did she expect from her post? Did she think others would join in and poke fun at the lady on the treadmill? It obviously backfired in spectacular style and showed herself up for being a stupid, thoughtless and superficial cunt.

Aeroflotgirl · 14/03/2017 13:14

Yes I think she did Misery, the fact that it was shared to thousands of people, not just within her circle of friends is disgraceful. So she wanted thousands of people who follow her, to point and laugh at this poor woman, and to shame her. Not only that, some of her followers are probably teens or children, so she is encouraging bullying behaviour. She is nothing but a nasty bully, who should be banned from her Gym.

And how horrible of the Daily Mail to perpetuate the misogynistic fat-shaming by publishing the photos.

Lesley1980 · 14/03/2017 14:07

No one should post anyone's picture without them being aware positive or negative.

Vile woman. What she did reminds me of the antics of this self-styled Australian nutrition guru known as "durianrider" on social media. He has turned preaching about his very extreme and frankly dangerous raw vegan / frutarian diet and ultra-distance cycling into a massive money spinner and likes to post pictures and even videos of overweight people taken without their permission to fat-shame them online. Of course he only does this to "raise awareness". Sadly most of his many followers can't see anything wrong with it and his ugly click-bait business model seems to work rather well for him.

There should be laws in place for this kind of thing. Nobody should ever be subjected to this abuse. A hefty fine might make scumbags think twice about posting such content.
