or at some point this month?

And I know there is a EU board tucked away somewhere but I'm interested in everyone's views.

I'm so glad we're leaving, this is a totally different country to the one I grew up in and I hate it.

DJBaggySmalls · 13/03/2017 12:24

Gutted.
So many things I never thought would happen including Trump.

Stopandlook · 13/03/2017 12:26

Still clinging to the hope that the government will act in the best interest of all the country.... In short, in denial!

Ehsamy · 13/03/2017 12:28

Thanks for replies.

I can't believe it's actually going to happen anyway now.

About time!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 13/03/2017 12:31

Resigned to it.

I have a horrible feeling the next 10 years are going to be god awful. I just want us to get on with it so that hopefully the dust has settled by the time my eldest is 16.

EnormousTiger · 13/03/2017 12:34

I'm a Remainer but it is time and we just need to get on with it now nad make the best of it. It's like taking nasty medicine - best to get it done and then proceed. The people voted and I respect that.

GraceGrape · 13/03/2017 12:39

Time to start being active in making the case for the least-damaging Brexit.

Reow · 13/03/2017 12:40

Very very sad.

makeourfuture · 13/03/2017 12:46

Triumph of idiocy.

megletthesecond · 13/03/2017 12:47

whenshe yy, heaven knows how the next decade is going to pan out. I feel sick thinking about what my dc's will inherit at the other side of their teenage years.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 13/03/2017 12:47

Relieved - though sad that it should ever have come to this

It's not even as if it needed to, had the politicians stuck to just the trading agreement (the "common market") we were originally promised, instead of going for the noses-in-the-trough behemoth it became

I also believe that, once other nations realize the sky doesn't fall when a member leaves, this could easily be the beginning of the end of the whole thing

ShatnersWig · 13/03/2017 12:47

Laugh at the comment about Sturgeon whose just bloody announced she's going after another referendum. As I said on another thread, if she gets another referendum, why the fucking hell can't the rest of us?

APlaceOnTheCouch · 13/03/2017 12:50

I don't have a problem with Article 50 being triggered but I'm disappointed that there isn't a decent opposition in parliament to influence how Brexit will progress. I have real concerns that our Brexit plans will be dominated and decided by the Tories.

girlandboy · 13/03/2017 12:50

About bloody time!

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 13/03/2017 12:51

Disgust and despair.

Whatthefoxgoingon · 13/03/2017 12:53

Uncertain times.

I've made some financial plans for things to go tits up. Mostly on investments, sold a couple of properties and I've done some building work before we lose a whole load of European builders. I've been doing this since the vote, basically preparing for some tough times.

saltyshoes · 13/03/2017 12:56

Sad that services like the NHS and schools will have to take huge hits as we pay the enormous financial cost of Brexit. The only ones who will profit out of this will be the lawyers. Those with means will leave or use private services. Those without will take the brunt of it.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 13/03/2017 12:58

It's so alarming isn't it. The world feels like an increasingly protectionist place. I'm really alarmed but it just feels inevitable.

There's too many people in the world who feel left behind (not wrongly). A massive and damaging backlash is hitting and will probably get worse.

5moreminutes · 13/03/2017 12:58

As Naze says, as the government are bent on self destruction to save face after botching the advisory referendum so badly, it's probably better just to get it over with rather than drag it out.

It's all a huge mistake obviously.

On a personal level I'm glad my DH nagged at me to get my German citizenship sorted and that the kids have duel nationality. I'm vaguely wondered about the global trend it's part of but still sort of hoping it's just a phase globally and that things will readjust and become saner instead of slipping further into madness...

5moreminutes · 13/03/2017 12:59

*worried not wondered

FlyingElbows · 13/03/2017 13:03

Glad that my children are eligible for dual nationality.

Pmurt · 13/03/2017 13:03

Cross. Tired. Resigned. Sad for those in need who think this will help them.

Mystified that 52% of the country voting for an undefined Brexit is being taken to justify a hard Brexit. Mystified that the Lords suggesting some minor safeguards to increase sovereignty has been portrayed as thwarting the will of the people.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 13/03/2017 13:07

I'm disappointed that there isn't a decent opposition in parliament to influence how Brexit will progress

I absolutely agree - a proper opposition is always important, but if ever there was a time when it's vital, this is surely it

Instead we've got a bunch of lemmings allowing Corbyn to lead them straight off a cliff Sad

annandale · 13/03/2017 13:08

Like waking up on the morning of a long-dreaded operation - at least the bloody thing is going to happen and maybe it will be ok.
