Pre-dc top 5: Japan, USA(New York specifically,)Argentina, Russia, Brazil

I think that Florida has a lot more to offer than theme parks. I also love Cuba.

I have had loads of lovely holidays in Italy. Cities, beaches, lakes and mountains and of course the food and the shopping!

I agree about North Cyprus too. It also has great beaches which we often have all to ourselves. Parts of the south are beautiful as well.

I would add Malta to the list too but it isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Costa Rica by a mile. Fantastic scenery, wildlife, volcanoes, beaches, good hotels, great food, lovely people. Tourism is one of their main industries and they work hard to make it an easy and attractive place to go.

tinytemper66 · 09/03/2017 08:45

Aigues Mortes in South of France, Sorrento, Lido di Jesolo, Lake Placid [skiing]

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 09/03/2017 08:46

I love Florida. But for a city break, Vienna or Cologne.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 09/03/2017 08:53

Love America.

Love Vegas, Florida, New York, Boston, Texas, New Orleans, California, San Francisco.

The only place I didn't like was Los Angeles.

Longdistance · 09/03/2017 08:57

Antigua
Barbados
New York I keep going back 😀

I was just watching a programme about Anguilla. Omg, I could so live there.

teachergirl2011 · 09/03/2017 08:57

The Maldives

fakenamefornow · 09/03/2017 08:59

Switzerland/the French/Italian Alps.

I'm very well traveled (including the Maildives, which are lovely) but Switzerland is beautiful and you can drive there.

RebelandaStunner · 09/03/2017 09:02

USA - favourite - Florida Keys
Italy- all of it
Canada- will be returning
Jamaica, in fact all of the 12 Caribbean islands we've been to so far.

Vietnam Smile

USA is fab but just too expensive at the moment with the crap pound (thanks brexit!)

Anotherminime · 09/03/2017 09:05

New Zealand for me, such an amazing place with breathtaking scenery. So many different activities to do too. Loved it.

Following that I think Vietnam and Cambodia, especially Angkor Wat.

Chasingsquirrels · 09/03/2017 09:06

I've had lots of lying round the beach/pool holidays in Spain which in have thoroughly enjoyed, but memorable for actually doing things holidays include;

Safari in Botswana & visit to Victoria Falls when I was 17. Just amazing.

Malta - had a fab time exploring the island on the local buses.

New Zealand - 2.5 weeks travelling round both islands, should have taken longer or done less but was great.

19lottie82 · 09/03/2017 09:06

NYC specifically is great but the prices. Wow.

DH and I were there for 3 days and spent £1400. Only £300 was on actual "shopping". The rest was on food drink and a few tourist attractions.
A beer was $8/9 standard. Add on tax / tip and combine with the shite exchange rate and that's about £9!!!!

Abetes · 09/03/2017 09:07

Chile - just amazing

MaidOfStars · 09/03/2017 09:09

Road trip over the Canadian Rockies - I was reduced to tears by some of the scenery, it was overwhelmingly beautiful.

SomewhatIdiosyncratic · 09/03/2017 09:09

China, Mongolia, Tibet, Nepal, India.

It was epic!

Going slightly more mainstream, Iceland Wink

Lobelia123 · 09/03/2017 09:10

Cancun Mexico

Fabulous beaches and surf, incredible food, glorious weather, beautiful people and culture :)

WhyOhWine · 09/03/2017 09:13

We like holidays thathave a mix of relaxation (pool beach) and something else, eg iteresting cities, ruins, wildlife, scenery. We have done the following with DC which fit this bill and had worked well:

Sri Lanka
Greek Island hopping
Mexico
Sicily
South Africa
California

jay55 · 09/03/2017 09:14

Agree on Costa Rica, I loved Guatemala and Panama too. I also love Vegas.

SparklesandBangs · 09/03/2017 09:20

I am lucky to have travelled around the world as a couple and with my DC, these are my favourites

UK - North Devon
European Beach - northern Costa Brava
City - New York or Hong Kong
Culture Shock - India
Kids Dream - Florida
Touring - New Zealand with Australia a close second
If I could be anywhere now - Hawaii always

Ratonastick · 09/03/2017 09:28

Egypt. We took a Nile cruise on a converted steamer that belonged to the last King. It was incredible, a mix of stunning archeology, good food and sunshine. Bit tricky at the moment, but definitely one for the long term list.

Elendon · 09/03/2017 09:29

The Greek Islands (for three weeks, one week in Athens and went to the wine festival and Delphi, two beautiful islands).

The Balearic Islands.

Tromso. The northern lights are a sight to behold.

AllFurCoatNoKnickera · 09/03/2017 09:29

Havana. Without a doubt the most beautiful city I've ever visited, just wish I'd stayed longer.
Stunning architecture, music everywhere, friendly people, safe and rum was cheaper than water.

GiGiraffe · 09/03/2017 09:34

Can't pick one, too many places! My favourites:
Greek islands (loved Skiathos and Crete)
Sailing in Croatia
Railay /Rah Ley in Thailand
