Oh, Snopes, despite being a well know leftist fake news site, says it was a mixture.
He did mention the height of his building, but somewhat in context.

originalbiglymavis · 12/03/2017 09:55

What an arse. Why aren't people listening to him?

Anyone else making such crass comments , and the trumpets would be out with their pitchforks baying for blood. I really don't get it.

TheClaws · 12/03/2017 10:36

Perhaps why these threads have been quieter of late. Not because we're inured to Trump, or settled in for the long haul: no! He's just pulled his withered neck in a bit to weather out the storm, maybe.

Very funny SNL skits this weekend.

GingerIvy · 12/03/2017 10:52

I note Ivanka is parodied, as is the new healthcare plan. And of course, Trump. Loved it.

Lweji · 12/03/2017 10:53

Have you seen this?

On one hand, Rex Tillerson is being kept out of foreign policy by the White House, and his number 2s are being rejected.
Listen to that part where the person from the State Department didn't even know the foreign minister from Mexico was in DC!

Then you have how Trump has quietly been filling in positions that don't require Senate vetting with alt-right and frankly scary people.

You know what would be cool and true? If a US Attorney filed a perjury charge against #Sessions before resigning. www.cnn.com/2017/03/10/politics/us-attorneys-resignation/index.html

Whereas replacing State Attorney is not that unusual, it is puzzling why some are being replaced.

Drain the swamp? Supporters say fired prosecutor Bharara was doing it

(or maybe because of it...)

""I did not resign. Moments ago I was fired," Bharara, appointed by President Barack Obama in 2009, said on Twitter Saturday. In November Bharara said after meeting with Trump that he was asked to stay on and agreed to do so."

"Kaminsky, the Democratic state lawmaker, suggested Bharara's refusal to resign was intended to send a message. "If the president was serious about draining the swamp, this is certainly not something he would do," he said of Bharara's firing."
""I think Mr. Bharara wanted to set the record straight by saying, 'I was ready to continue to do this job. If you don't want me here, that's on you,' " Kaminsky said."

I wonder if Florida Barbie, Pam Bondi, is being replaced too. The one who wouldn't file for Florida against Trump University. Hmm
Never mind the swamp, it's just getting bigly.

NEW: Wikileaks helps cast doubt on intelligence agencies' assertion that Russia interfered with the election hill.cm/firBH49

And here we go. Wikileaks helping Trump to undermine both the FBI and CIA so that they think CIA did the election hacking using Russian signatures.

"Fake accounts on Twitter seized on the claim to dispute that Russia sought to interfere in the U.S. election last year, noted Ryan Kalember, senior vice president for cybersecurity strategy at Proofpoint. (...)"

"“That comes out in the WikiLeaks press release and immediately, all of the bots on Twitter who everyone speculates are controlled by agents of a particular government immediately start saying it wasn’t Russia that hacked the DNC, it was the CIA,” Kalember said. “You have this really obvious kind of disinformation campaign that is ready to go as soon as the leak happens.”"

Just like with Hillary.

The question is: who gave Wikileaks those documents?

BiglyBadgers · 12/03/2017 13:12

I very much enjoyed that Ivanka sketch from SNL. I do have a bit of a thing for Scarlett Johanson. It's awesome to see her calling out Ivanka :o

...and while we are all gazing slack jawed at the USA madness Turkey and Holland are facing off big style. Turkey is just about to vote on a referendum that would extend Erdogan's powers and Holland is just about to have an election with the horrifying Geert Wilders looking to get the biggest share of the vote. I can only see these events being a boost for both of them. Confused

McCain tells @jaketapper he expects more shoes "to drop" on Russia, and raises questions on why GOP platform tilted pro-Russia

cozietoesie · 12/03/2017 13:28

I'm not so sure, Bigly. The 'Trump effect' may come into play in Holland at least.

AcrossthePond55 · 12/03/2017 13:40

^NEW: Infrastructure grants could be on the chopping block in Trump budget hill.cm/E0D0V1l^

Translation: Trump's getting rid of a very successful program that funnels money to the states to invest in their infrastructure so he can replace it with a program in which he can give infrastructure project contracts to his friends.

And on a side note: I think I'm beginning to have a bit of a crush on John McCain. I don't know if I should be worried about that or not. He certainly seems to be a lone GOP voice crying out in the wilderness.
