To think some people just come on here to argue?

I swear some people just come on here to argue and make other parents feel like utter shit! Almost every post on here someone comes onto and finds a way of giving the OP some abuse.

I thought this site was to help each other and give advice. You know a support network.

I could literally write something like 'saw a cute kitty today' or 'had a banging cuppa' I bet someone would cause an argument! I wish some people would just get a grip! Bet it makes them feel really big hiding behind a keyboard!

There's turds in every toilet, OP, but they float to the room more in AIBU than others! Most people on here just make me laugh - there's more delicate threads for if you're feeling delicate Brew

forfucksakenet · 20/02/2017 21:32

Yep. They must be pretty miserable. Ah 'frank' yes 😂... these people who feel compelled to 'tell it how it is' so glad we have these beacons of truth Hmm

OnHold · 20/02/2017 21:42

You are not exactly Polly Anna yourself.Forfucksake.

forfucksakenet · 20/02/2017 21:45

Polly Anna? Not sure I understand the reference. You'll have to elaborate? Where was I horrid to anyone?

I think MN can be a shock to the system for some. Many people are surrounded by people much like themselves in RL, age-wise, socially, politically, professionally... On MN they meet everyone else.

And you always have to correct people if they are wrong on the internet, how will they learn otherwise...

OnHold · 20/02/2017 21:50

You have been quite agressive on this thread. With your sarky replies and Hmm faces

Maybe you should try being a bit nicer. Lead by example and all that.

forfucksakenet · 20/02/2017 21:53

Sarky I'll accept. Didn't realise eyebrow raising was considered aggressive!

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 20/02/2017 21:54

Look, there IS a parenting forum where responses will be more along the lines of "you go girl" "hugs Hun yr baby u no best" and other supportive-at-all-costs platitudes.

This isn't it.

mymilisbatshit · 20/02/2017 21:54

Hi onhold I don't know that I would agree I've been aggressive but you're certainly entitled to that opinion. I guess it comes from having almost everything you say picked apart over time for me I guess I kind of feel like it doesn't matter how nice you are someone on here is waiting to be rude or say something nasty. That's what my OP is about I just feel is someone is talking about something sensitive people who may have different opinions maybe be a little more tactful when it's a light hearted post we should all be able to have a joke and laugh. I hope that clears it up I'm not deliberately trying to be aggressive but I do get the impression some people do wish to pick fights over almost anything.

It's Pollyanna - one word.

I'm winning at pedant- ness/pedanting/being pedantic. 👍🏻

forfucksakenet · 20/02/2017 21:59

Don't worry! It's me that's aggressive with my sarcasm and out of control brows HmmHmmHmm

mymilisbatshit · 20/02/2017 22:00

SmileSmileSmile I don't have any eyebrows lol

forfucksakenet · 20/02/2017 22:04

Who or what is Pollyanna? I'm still hoping someone will explain the reference?

reup · 20/02/2017 22:06

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pollyanna

forfucksakenet · 20/02/2017 22:09

Thank you reup

DesolateWaist · 20/02/2017 22:11

We should be building each other up and helping each other.

Why? I hate all this 'us women must stick together' bollocks.
Just because someone is female it doesn't make them right or mean that I have to agree with them.

reup · 20/02/2017 22:14

I just read the synopsis and had forgotten she lost the use of her kegs for a while. I used to love the What Katy Did books and it happened to her too and her cousin I think. I don't know the Little Women series well, I wonder if it happened there too. I used to play pretend at being one of those heroines - confined to my bed but constantly saintly. It's all been downhill since then frankly,

paxillin · 20/02/2017 22:14

We ARE helping each other. Go on a random bunfight thread (dogs, parking, school run or combination are good) and look at all the aggression. Where would it all go? We'd have to discharge on our loved ones.

Bunfights save marriages.

mymilisbatshit · 20/02/2017 22:14

Lol okay, maybe that statement came out wrong what I mean is we shouldn't be deliberately setting out to make each other feel crappy.

reup · 20/02/2017 22:15

Legs not kegs

forfucksakenet · 20/02/2017 22:19

Beth had scarlet fever and was confined to her bed. Also very saintly.

Bluntness100 · 20/02/2017 22:19

forfucksakenet · 20/02/2017 22:20

In Littke Women... not just some random woman called Beth Smile

mymilisbatshit · 20/02/2017 22:21

No I don't blunt.
