To think some people just come on here to argue?

I swear some people just come on here to argue and make other parents feel like utter shit! Almost every post on here someone comes onto and finds a way of giving the OP some abuse.

I thought this site was to help each other and give advice. You know a support network.

I could literally write something like 'saw a cute kitty today' or 'had a banging cuppa' I bet someone would cause an argument! I wish some people would just get a grip! Bet it makes them feel really big hiding behind a keyboard!

Why do you ask?

Shockers · 20/02/2017 20:33

I'll admit I'm finding a couple of posters hard work at the moment. They do seem to just pick at others without contributing much to the actual discussion... then the picking takes over the thread.

AnyFucker · 20/02/2017 20:35

Just wondering...

DeadMorose · 20/02/2017 20:36

YABU and wrong. I never argue. Except for those times when I do

Wellysocksbox · 20/02/2017 20:36

Haven't RTFT but no I don't.

mymilisbatshit · 20/02/2017 20:36

Dead haha!

OP posts:
Gowgirl · 20/02/2017 20:37

I've rtft and I'm still none the wiser.....

UnbornMortificado · 20/02/2017 20:38

Ah, seen your other thread about humping

Grin
reup · 20/02/2017 20:38

You know I can't remember what I said - probably spelt it out to her slowly - I don't think she ever espinedd.

I rarely argue and have managed to have 2 runs ins over the last couple of days. Maybe I've been here too long.

VintagePerfumista · 20/02/2017 20:39

Ahhh.

The humping thread is you?

No, I don't come on here to make other parents feel shit. I don't give a shit, generally, if the people I talk to on here are parents or not. The last thing I want to talk about is kids, my own, or anyone else's. Quite a few of us on here define ourselves by something other than the fact we've procreated.

Maudlinmaud · 20/02/2017 20:40

Is somebody looking for a fight?
(Rolls up sleaves)

reup · 20/02/2017 20:42

Sleeves😆

Wellysocksbox · 20/02/2017 20:43

maud I'll take you on. What do you want to argue about?

VivienneWestwoodsKnickers · 20/02/2017 20:43

I didn't come here for an argument.

UnbornMortificado · 20/02/2017 20:43

Is it a full moon or something?

Or is it just the half term effect?

mymilisbatshit · 20/02/2017 20:43

Vintage, that's totally fair enough but I am guessing that means you probably wouldn't comment on a thread to do with kids? I'm talking about the people that do just to be nasty.

Also the jumping thread was mine no it's not funny imagine being a young first time mum and you see your baby doing that and you haven't a clue what's going on my friend questioned it which made me feel worse I was just looking for some reassurance on it and instead got a attacked and practically called a pedophile.. that's so upsetting I came away from that feeling terrible.

OP posts:
OnHold · 20/02/2017 20:44

I'll sling a bun and take one for the team

Livelovebehappy · 20/02/2017 20:45

The Trump and Brexit threads are the worst. You go on there to have a rational debate, and exit half a dozen pages later having been labelled racist, bigot, c**t, fuckwit, thick, blah, blah. I avoid them like the plague now - can't be arsed.

mymilisbatshit · 20/02/2017 20:46

Live, I never discuss politics it's too messy I've never looked at those threads I just stay well clear lol

OP posts:
VanillaSugar · 20/02/2017 20:47

Why is no one arguing?

Maudlinmaud · 20/02/2017 20:48

Reup sleeves then Grin

Chloe84 · 20/02/2017 20:48

Bloody hell, OP, a thread on your baby humping you and another about how doctors say kissing babies on the lips is sexual - in the course of a week...what on earth are you thinking?

UnbornMortificado · 20/02/2017 20:49

Between the breastfeeding and smoking thread i have seen shit mother, drug addict and fucking dim.

The Trump/Brexit thread sounds like a safe haven.

mymilisbatshit · 20/02/2017 20:50

I know Chloe, what was I thinking to think a bunch of grown adults could discuss 2 pretty sensitive issues with abit of grace.

OP posts:
reup · 20/02/2017 20:53

I don't car maudlin!

One of the worst type of nastiness I've seen is when some writes a long slightly garbled emotional op and the first response is - I can't read that without paragraphs or some comment about how you can't understand it instead of asking pertinent questions.

Or another fave is when someone posts to say they don't believe the op or they have no interest in the subject. How bored to you have to be to post on something you're not interested in.
