To think some people just come on here to argue?

I swear some people just come on here to argue and make other parents feel like utter shit! Almost every post on here someone comes onto and finds a way of giving the OP some abuse.

I thought this site was to help each other and give advice. You know a support network.

I could literally write something like 'saw a cute kitty today' or 'had a banging cuppa' I bet someone would cause an argument! I wish some people would just get a grip! Bet it makes them feel really big hiding behind a keyboard!

Yes a lot do.

reup · 20/02/2017 20:53

Care 😡

Maudlinmaud · 20/02/2017 20:54

In fairness to you op I haven't seen your other threads but I'm going to AS and if I fiind anything I'll have a bone to pick with you.

mymilisbatshit · 20/02/2017 20:55

What does AS mean? Sorry I'm not too great with abbreviations.

What's a 'banging cuppa' Hmm misses point of thread

ivechangedmyname123 · 20/02/2017 20:57

I just came to read the comments 👀

I'm sure someone will be along with a genuine irritation at your OP....

mymilisbatshit · 20/02/2017 20:58

Piglet, usually a cup of tea made with pg tips, full fat milk and 3 sugars.

Even better If it's at someone else's house, they made it and you eat all their biscuits.

forfucksakenet · 20/02/2017 21:07

Totally... it's like mean girls on here. Same people all the time.

Catlady1976 · 20/02/2017 21:09

Yanbu op. I remember posting once about my dds school being unable to spell her name correctly.
A couple of people on the thread wouldn't give up stating how trivial it was etc etc and pointing out one auto-correct fail in my post. That person was happy to contribute on numerous occasions though.

Lazyafternoon · 20/02/2017 21:13

AIBU is entertainment, not support... isn't it?

Shit, was I supposed to be supportive and not just throwing in my twopence worth to kill time while I wait for DS to poo?

I think I know what you mean op, it feels there is often negativity for the sake of it! For example there was a thread where someone had finally narrowed their baby name choices to two names which they loved and asked mn's to help choose... it was a happy wee thread, and people were posting comments like 'they are both horrendous.' Seriously?! perhaps that wasn't the thread for you! Why comment at all?

auntyhiro · 20/02/2017 21:16

I think it is because people who disagree are more likely to respond. if you agree and there are several comments to that point there isnt much one can say

Megatherium · 20/02/2017 21:17

YANBU. No matter how obviously lighthearted the thread, you're sure to get some idiot coming on accusing the OP of over-dramatising or something equally ridiculous.

forfucksakenet · 20/02/2017 21:17

Yes, Navy. Mean Girls. You know... you go Glen Coco, Regina George, Gretchen Weiners?

OnHold · 20/02/2017 21:23

Why use MN if you think it's full of mean girls?

derxa · 20/02/2017 21:25

Yes I know what you mean OP but I really didn't like the humping baby and kissing toddlers on the lips threads. They made me feel sick

Shockers · 20/02/2017 21:26

I don't think anyone said it was 'full' of mean girls, did they?

There are many, many wonderful posters who don't try to turn everything into a bunfight.

mymilisbatshit · 20/02/2017 21:26

That's totally fair enough but surely if you don't like them you wouldn't read them or comment on them.

OP posts:
forfucksakenet · 20/02/2017 21:27

Yes exactly! It tends to be the same people who are 'mean' ... I feel sad for them.
