We got a call from a member of public today at work (vets) that there was a dead dog on the beach.

Two of my colleagues went to collect it. They came back white as sheets. The poor little dog was charred to the bone. My boss feels it was set light to whilst still alive due to certain indicators.

That poor poor little mite. WHY?? fucking WHY would you do That??

There was no microchip and we couldn't tell if the dog was either a staffie pup or jack russel terrier. It had been in the sea for some time. It's teeth were clean which suggests he was quite young.

What made it worse was that the police wouldn't even issue a crime numberAngry RSPCA did show up but realistically felt there was nkthing to be done.

So this poor little dog had been tortured to death and whoever did it will get away with it without so much as even having to wonder if they will get caught.

I am struggling to shift the image of thus little dig yet these vike disgusting little cants are probably laughing and joking about it.

I honestly despair of the human race at times Angry

Floggingmolly · 07/02/2017 22:25

Angry. Completely soulless little fuckers.

ohtheholidays · 07/02/2017 22:26

Fucking wankers,I hope Karma gets them and gives them full force!

I'm so sorry you had to witness that,we all really love our pets,we've rescued Dogs,Rabbits and a Cat.I can't imagine how you must be feeling Flowers

DeadZed · 07/02/2017 22:26

How awful! This reminds me of when Dd and I found a similar dog in the woods near us when we were out walking our dog. Dd found it and came running, screaming out from some trees. A dog had been tied up and burnt to death. We called the police who liased with the rspca. Dh went with the rspca inspector who took the animal away. The police did follow up a few days later as the dog was chipped but the info was out if date. They offered to put us in touch with a counsellor as dd was quite traumatised by finding the dog.

TheoriginalLEM · 07/02/2017 22:26

the rspca may do so but they have not made a decision yet.

I just hope that God/karma catches up with these people and they suffer (which maybe makes me no better than them though doesn't it).

EveOnline2016 · 07/02/2017 22:28

I can just understand contact sports such as boxing. Why would you willingly want to punch someone and be punched for enjoyment.

But acts like this I will never understand, what kind of enjoyment could anyone get from torturing an innocent animal.

Op I hope you and your team are going to be ok. It may be needed for those 2 members to take some leave.

brokenbone · 07/02/2017 22:28

3 tiny helpless kittens were abandoned in a tied up carrier bag not far from where I live. One had had its throat slit and was dead and the other 2 were in a dreadful state. Luckily they were taken to a nearby vet and are recovering well but both have cat flu. What is wrong with people these days??

Wolfiefan · 07/02/2017 22:30

Bastards. Just bastards.
I can't understand how anyone can hurt an animal. These sort of cases make me feel truly sick to my stomach.
I'm so sorry for those who have to deal with such cases and can't imagine the suffering of those animals.
Hug your pets. Help rescues whenever possible. In any way you can. What else can we do?Sad

TheGirlWhoWasntThere · 07/02/2017 22:30

That poor little dog. How could anyone do that to an innocent and defenseless animal?

The people who committed this horrific crime are incredibly evil. The police should be doing all they can to find them and prosecute them.

I do hope you and your colleagues are ok.

TheoriginalLEM · 07/02/2017 22:31

Thankyou Eve, you do grow a hard shell in this job as we see so much sadness (but thankfully more happy) so wecan and have to be objective.

At least we could treat the animals body with respect. That was something.

GabsAlotI agree,I hope that gets changed though.

I know were not as bad as some countries but we do really need to up our protection of all of those that are vunerable amongst us,all the children, people that are disabled, the elderly that feel vunerable and all of the animals.

Things like this make me worry even more for the future of all of our children.

AskBasil · 07/02/2017 22:32

What's worrying about cases like this is that there is a massive correlation between people who are cruel to animals and people who are cruel to other people.

Often, torturers start off with animals who can't bear witness and then move on to people. The RSPCA had a policy a few years ago (I don't know if they still do) of reporting the perpetrators of animal cruelty in homes where there are children, to social services, because the correlation is so high.

All cases of animal cruelty should be taken seriously. If people are so cut off from reality that they think it's only a dog so doesn't matter, then they should take note of the fact that someone who can abuse a dog or a cat or a hamster, can abuse a child.

Matchstickmen · 07/02/2017 22:32

That is truly awful poor little thing 😞

That is so sad. How awful

Badcat666 · 07/02/2017 22:35

I get the rage about these types of things... the red mist descends. If someone killed or hurt my pets or I found out someone had killed/ hurt a defenseless animal I would happily go to jail for doing a bit of "eye for an eye" justice to the little shits.

Mrscaindingle · 07/02/2017 22:40

I know you put a trigger warning on the headline but wishing I hadn't clicked on it now (my own fault obv)

I too keep getting FB pictures of animal cruelty, mostly from China, and often it stays with me for days. I am torn between feeling I should be informed and not wanting to see because it just makes me sick to the stomach. Sad

gillybeanz · 07/02/2017 22:42

I'm so sorry about this it's sickening.
Quite scary that there are people who are so ill and sick to be able to do such a thing.

MadisonAvenue · 07/02/2017 22:43

This is pure evil...how can someone do that? The bastards.
Poor, poor little dog.

LassWiTheDelicateAir · 07/02/2017 22:45

Poor little thing. I can't begin to understand how any one can do this.

Therealloislane · 07/02/2017 22:48

Poor puppy. RIP.

hope karma catches up with whatever cruel fuckers were involved in this.
