www.facebook.com/peterandjaneandmummytoo/ if you click the link you'll see the current top post I think about daddy lost his keys - not sure how to link directly to it

I feel ill it's so awful. A horrid grumpy twat of a man stomping about cos he can't find his keys, blaming everyone but himself and then mummy 'joking' about hitting him over the head with the gin bottle

this is 1980's humour like jim davidson and mother in law killing jokes etc... isn't it?

relationships shouldn't be like that - one person having violent thoughts and/or walking on eggshells all the time while a ridiculous incompetent man child has a tantrum

this crap is why so many women think that is all there is in men out there. uselessness at best and abusive at worst.

UGH

mummy heirs and graces made me smile. It's airs and graces!

I don't like this sort of thing but can't get too worked out about it.

lubeybooby · 08/02/2017 16:19

exactly, TheWrathFromHighAtopTheThing

I asked if anyone else felt the same. some do some don't. I find it interesting that some do if a little baffling, like anyone liking Mrs Browns boys (totally with you there Aworldofmyown!) but hey we can't all be the same

I'm also glad it's not just me

Why is saying you like it more of a valid opinion than saying you don't? In fact, given that this is a thread started by someone who doesn't like it, the obvious response to those piling in saying that they do like it is "well whoopdedoo, off you pop then and read it", by that logic.

witsender · 08/02/2017 16:21

And yes, Mrs Brown's Boys is utter shite.

OnHold · 08/02/2017 16:24

If it makes you feel ill, don't read it. Last time I looked you could hide things on FB.

Wadingthroughsoup · 08/02/2017 20:45

I do like these two:

mrsBeverleygoldberg · 08/02/2017 20:53

I like it. I find it funny. It's not real, it's humour. Possibly it appeals to my teenage boy humour. I also love hot tub time machine.

mumsnit · 08/02/2017 21:06

The P&J posts makes me literally cry with laughter most days. I can imagine its not to everybody's taste but I bloody love it Grin

worries they have actually set up a webcam in my house

Aworldofmyown · 08/02/2017 21:17

I have just very much enjoyed the latest post on the tooth fairy!!!

We have been designated a 'lower level' fairy in our house - sometimes takes a week to finally get his/her arse into gear!!!

BoredProcrastinator · 08/02/2017 23:07

our tooth fairy checks there's a golden halo around the sleeping child - otherwise no visit! Means at least I get 1 completely hassle free bedtime for each tooth lost!

Shootforthemoon1 · 04/12/2017 10:36

Agree! I think we've all been had! I've just read on another thread that her kids are much older than she makes out ...19 and 12.

Rebeccaslicker · 04/12/2017 10:43

Woman tries to make a living out of writing - call the police!!

If it's not for you, that's fine. Clearly lots of people do like it, so let her/them get on with it. Although I did see her book abandoned at a tube station so one person definitely agrees with you!

If what is clearly intended to be humour made you feel "ill", however do you cope when you read something that is actually awful?!

TinyTear · 04/12/2017 10:59

I blocked them as people kept liking things and it came up on my feed, all that need booze shit and the gormless dog, not funny

Mia1415 · 04/12/2017 11:03

I think its hilarious! I love reading their posts. Its comedy. There are far worse things to be offended about in the world!

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 04/12/2017 11:06

I take it with a big pinch of salt. Sometimes it’s very funny. I saw the interview with Jane a few weeks ago when her book came out.

She was lovely actually.

TinyTear · 04/12/2017 11:06

oh great, a half zombie thread and I didn't spot it - why do zombies appear on the Trending box???

Rebeccaslicker · 04/12/2017 11:09

Huh - I assumed it was the boy child and the girl child who were "peter" and "jane"! Is it mummy and daddy then??

Basseting · 04/12/2017 11:12

I used to find it quite funny.
The GadgetTwat stuff is good. But it IS repetitive and formulaic.
Found the recent book a disappointment - it didn't carry through.
Mostly I am just annoyed I didn't do it first!

LesDennishair · 04/12/2017 11:18

It's self consciously try hard.

seafoodeatit · 04/12/2017 11:25

I don't find it funny at all, it's all part of the popular glittery wine glasses and prosecco slogans- the new 'keep calm' bull-crap in my humble opinion, but clearly lots of other people do like it!

I don't like Mrs Brown's boys either (add Miranda to that too, and not going out - how the hell did it get so many seasons??!) I'm fine being a miserable git for the large part.

Bubblebubblepop · 04/12/2017 11:34

Agreed Sea- that oh it's so hard to be a parent whinging blog is so 2015

Slartybartfast · 04/12/2017 11:51

i like it too

coffeekittens · 04/12/2017 11:55

It's dull and too try hard.

KellyBarclay · 04/12/2017 12:02

Seems similar to much the crap that gets posted on here

LivingDeadGirlUK · 04/12/2017 12:10

I just read her book and laughed all the way through. However afterwards I did feel a bit sad she didn't leave the knobhead and move to spain with all her money.
