Michael Jackson sang 'veg-tabul' in 'you wanna be startin' something'. Listen from about 2mins:

I say them as they are spelled. Remember my London cousins mocking me for saying prob ab ly not probly.

breathandexhale · 04/02/2017 23:15

My 6 year old says bedgeybobboble. Hope that helps!Grin

joystir59 · 04/02/2017 23:17

joystir59 · 04/02/2017 23:31

Akchully I do say probably.

PurpleNurple69 · 05/02/2017 09:58

And what about sandwich?

I always say samwich. Or piece. I'm Scottish Smile

FurryLittleTwerp · 05/02/2017 10:09

I say vedgetubble usually, although occasionally veggietubble

2yo DS used to say Vej-oob, which we occasionally still use he's nearly 19

I say Wednsday

I say probably, library, February, sandwich etc exactly as spelt

DH says reguly instead of regularly which drives me nuts.

liz70 · 05/02/2017 10:12

Vej-ta-b'l

TarragonChicken · 05/02/2017 10:12

caz323 · 05/02/2017 11:09

Vej-t'bul for me.

How about Tissue? I say Tish-ue. Have heard some pronounce it Tiss-yew?

Maybe I'm just common!

ShowMePotatoSalad · 05/02/2017 11:10

Vej-ta-bull

joystir59 · 05/02/2017 11:27

Tishoo.

joystir59 · 05/02/2017 11:28

I hate it when people say pacific instead of specific

FithColumnist · 05/02/2017 12:20

[ˈvɛʒtǝbɫ̩] Grin

AstridPeth · 05/02/2017 12:42

I have always pronounced it vengtable. Something that my parents must have never corrected me on when i was growing up. I have worked at pronouncing it the correct way in my adult life but occasionally it does slip out. I work with a colleague who pronounces sandwich as sangwich so at least I am not the only one with odd pronunciation.

user1471545174 · 05/02/2017 12:50

Vej-t'bl
Wensday
Library
February
BUT
Probly (yes, London).

Tishoo, definitely, I hate tiss-yew, urgh.

My most disliked pronunciation is YERS for years.

Huldra · 05/02/2017 12:52

I hate tiss-yew. It sounds how snot smells.

Robstersgirl · 05/02/2017 12:53

Veg-ta-bull

Robstersgirl · 05/02/2017 12:56

Tish-ooh
San-widge
Feb-you-ary Blush
Prob-ber-Lee

Astoria7974 · 05/02/2017 13:00

Second. The first is the correct way to pronounce it though, and is used internationally.

HighwayDragon1 · 05/02/2017 13:02

Vej-tabul
February
Wendsday
Tishoo
Prob-ab-ly (unless I'm being lazy then probly)
