OP posts:
WhereYouLeftIt · 04/02/2017 20:32

veg-e-table

DirtyBlonde · 04/02/2017 20:32

Veg-tuh-bul

Why?

Trills · 04/02/2017 20:34

It's not people who are actually posh, it's people who are TRYING to be posh. Hyacinth Bucket types. They think that pronouncing all the letters is posh.

Rugbyplayersarehot · 04/02/2017 20:34

The first one. Brummie

ConvincingLiar · 04/02/2017 20:36

Vej-tabul.

Glastonbury · 04/02/2017 20:36

Vej ta bull

GreatFuckability · 04/02/2017 20:37

veg-tuh-bl

JustCallMeKate · 04/02/2017 20:37

Vedge-e-table. I'm clearly ostentatiously posh 🙄

ptangyangkipperbanguuh · 04/02/2017 20:38

Water those would be nearly all Scottish people then....
Wednesday has a d in it..

FWIW OP , I say vedge .

HostaFireAndIce · 04/02/2017 20:39

*Veggy-tubble.

I'm from the north west.*

Me too, and me too. I don't think it's a 'trying to be posh' thing up there.

Waterfeature · 04/02/2017 20:40

Ptang oh no, Scots are in a class of their own. I was referring to ostentatiously posh English people.

Waterfeature · 04/02/2017 20:40

*southeners

ptangyangkipperbanguuh · 04/02/2017 20:41

I also say enviroNment and goverNment.
Am clearly a ridiculous twat.

ptangyangkipperbanguuh · 04/02/2017 20:42

haha Water not sure what 'class of their own' implies but I'll take it!

WhereYouLeftIt · 04/02/2017 20:43

Grin ptang

Waterfeature · 04/02/2017 20:43

See what I did there ptang 😜

CrackersDontMatter · 04/02/2017 20:43

Vej-tabul

ptangyangkipperbanguuh · 04/02/2017 20:43

Of course, as a Scot, I rarely talk about vegetables. Unless they're chips.

;)

AliceThrewTheFookingGlass · 04/02/2017 20:48

Veg-tuh-bul for me

The only time I say wed-nes-day is when I'm trying to remember how to spell it.

FatOldBag · 04/02/2017 20:49

Vej-du-bl

or vej-double

HolisticAssassin · 04/02/2017 20:50

In the same way that Nat calls Artem a vegetable half way through this routine!

Mynestisfullofempty · 04/02/2017 20:52

Vej-tabul

icyfront · 04/02/2017 20:55

Could be a regional/accent thing. I pronounce it veg-t'ble, like most people round here. But my (late, lovely) MIL pronounced it veg-e-ta-bull, but she was Irish (and a great cook).

BewtySkoolDropowt · 04/02/2017 20:55

Oh thank heavens you got that clarified ptangyangkipperbanguuh because I was very confused as to my class status, saying wed-ens-day but veg-ta-ble!

ptangyangkipperbanguuh · 04/02/2017 20:56

I have arguments at work about jewellery.

And I say FebRuary too...
