Just out of curiosity really because she and her voice make me cringe when i hear her on tv or radio.

Love scots though please don't get me wrong.

Hate Sturgeon although she is a slight improvement on Salmond.

Mouse510 · 03/02/2017 19:32

I've got a lot of respect for her as leader. I'm also very proud to live in Scotland where the leaders of our 3 main parties at Holyrood are all women.
I believe Scots are (generally) ideologically different to the English. The Brexit results are just one example of this. I voted yes last time and I would vote that way again. Independence is the best way forward in the long term.

ChickenVindaloo2 · 03/02/2017 19:37

I wouldn't piss on her if she was on fire.

Strange, dangerous little burd.

ChickenVindaloo2 · 03/02/2017 19:37

There's a lifesize cardboard cut-out of her in the SNP shop on our high st. I shat myself the first time I saw it.

ChickenVindaloo2 · 03/02/2017 19:42

I have NEVER met anyone in real life - be they colleagues, clients, (I work as a solicitor a law firm in Edinburgh), friends or family who think she is anything more than a laughing stock.

She is the annoying fly on the arse of the elephant of international politics.

TrollTheRespawnJeremy · 03/02/2017 19:42

No I'm not a fan, i think she is disingenuous.

Although I don't support the Tories I think Ruth is an excellent politican with a lot more integrity.

I do get very annoyed when people rail at either for their appearance though.

aprilanne · 03/02/2017 20:07

cant stand her she thinks everyone agrees with her when most dont .i am scottish and proud but certainly not proud of our snp politicians.our health service our schools our councils are all seriously failing and all she can bang on about is independence .

aprilanne · 03/02/2017 20:09

and yes for the first time ever i voted tory in the scottish elections .i thought ruth davidson came across really good

raviolidreaming · 03/02/2017 20:15

I'm another one who wishes Ruth Davidson wasn't a Tory!

Calyx72 · 03/02/2017 20:18

Tory? In the Scottish elections? I like Ruth Davidson's twitter but really - Tory policy for Scotland?

JustCallMeKate · 03/02/2017 20:20

I don't like Sturgeon, she's an arse as far am I'm concerned.

RedVelvetOreos · 03/02/2017 20:22

I cannot stand her, she pushes her own agenda and seems to ignore anything she doesn't like i.e the independence referendum result. She said it would be once in a generation, my arse. Also she has changed the police force from different units to one main one which there is evidence showing that its less democratic to have one unit rather than several. But a lot of people seem to take what she says at face value rather than finding out information for themselves.

justanotheryoungmother · 03/02/2017 20:23

This isn't my opinion, but my DP is Scottish and he loves herBlush

CordeliaFitzgerald · 03/02/2017 20:38

I'm Scottish, I live in Edinburgh, I'm a lawyer (obviously important to the PP who said their solicitor friends think she's a laughing stock), I completely disagree with SNP nationalism, voted no in the indy ref (and would again) and I think Nicola Sturgeon is ace. She's a middle age woman, in charge of her country, one of the few politicians in the country who says what they mean, and stands up for principles (see her stance on child care when she is child free), she is a complete role model for women. And to say you dislike her because of her voice is pathetic - like you dislike Trump only because of his hair, or Theresa May because of her eyes, as if that is what is important. Fine to dislike her politics, but her voice...really??

ReginaGeorgeinSheepsClothing · 03/02/2017 20:41

Can't stand the woman. She is tenacious with the bloody Indy campaign agree with redvelvet on this!

crunched · 03/02/2017 20:46

I am British.

As Mouse510 said, I am proud the leaders of the three main parties in Scotland are women and that our PM is a woman.

Not sure I like many of their policies though Confused

Calyx72 · 03/02/2017 20:48

I don't understand why Scots wouldn't want self governance.

CornetBlues · 03/02/2017 20:49

I think it is the uncertainty over costs of demerger as it were.

BonnyScotland · 03/02/2017 20:52

I cannot bear to even listen to her voice..... No I do not like her

beepbeeprichie · 03/02/2017 20:54

Education, the police, transportation... all in a mess. The uncertainty for companies is not good for business north of the border, let alone the changes to income tax thresholds. The white paper that the SNP pedalled at the start of the Indy ref was an absolute disgrace. She escapes all criticism of that. Her as a person- well, her constituency is a shambles as has been mentioned on here. All politicians are self serving. She's no different.

AndHoldTheBun · 03/02/2017 20:57

I'm Scottish, and yes I like Nicola Sturgeon- not just because I am an SNP supporter, but because she's a talented, clever and accomplished politician.

Calyx72 · 03/02/2017 21:01

Thanks but as opposed to the costs of Brexit/being governed by Tories at Westminster?

I think Nicola Sturgeon is doing better than anyone has or could for Scotland. The media demonises her but she is my hero and I hope we get our independence before too long. Westminster have stolen Scotland's export duties, oil money and taxes (we are psying towards HS2 and Trident and refurb of a palace in London at eye watering prices when our elderly have as someone said just minutes of help for their personal care) for too long.

It's not anything to do with hate for the English. It's fairness for Scotland and Nicola believes that.

birdbandit · 03/02/2017 21:05

Yes I do. I like how she speaks and what she has to say.

noschooll4mee · 03/02/2017 21:07

I like her . 😀

CageyBee · 03/02/2017 21:11

*Whydidwedoit4times

Makes me sad when people apply hate to a democratically elected representative. Scary.*

You mean like Hitler...?
