Olliegarchy99 at 16.12 - thank you for that assessment. I often wonder what the % of Scottish votes to leave the EU would have been if NS hadn't conflated the EU referendum with a 2nd Indyref vote. I have an idea it would have been very close to the English result.
While I admit NS is the consummate politician, I don't like her 'eyerolliness' - she often does this in the Scottish parliament when she gets up to respond, belittling the person who made the original point/statement.
I dislike intensely how Scotland's failings are still being blamed on the Westminster govt. The Scottish govt have had 10 years to make a difference - if they had used that 10 years wisely and showed the electorate how well they could run the country, attract business and investment, create jobs, run services etc., they would have been more likely to achieve their independence goals. Instead, every time something fails (education/council services etc) it is still because Westminster won't give them enough money/autonomy, rather than because they've stuffed it up themselves.
And I would like NS, once and for all to answer the question as to how she can justify binding Scotland to the EU, the custom's union being so important to Scotland, when Scotland's exports to the EU account for approx. 20% of the total, and exports to the rest of the UK are over 70%. But she wants to get out of the union with ruk. Makes not one jot of sense at all.
I admire Ruth Davidson as a politician. Could never vote Tory. Wonder if she could be persuaded to stand as LibDem
