To think that cat owners that smoke don't realise how bad they smell?

I bought some cake decorating stuff (second hand) at the weekend and it stinks. I put it through the dishwasher and now that stinks too. Why don't people realise that having cats shitting in the kitchen is vile - and why are cat litter trays often in the kitchen? Would the bathroom not be more appropriate? Why mix cooking with the toxic stink of cat shit?

And in answer to all of the cat owners that will tell me that their cat/house doesn't smell, you're wrong, it does, and there's cat hair all over you. Smokers have no defence other that you probably can't smell how bad you are because you've knackered your tastebuds.

I am never going to buy another second hand thing unless it's from a 'smoke & pet free house'. Stinky fuckers.

My cats certainly don't smell either
I clean the litter trays everytime they go too.
If your dishwasher smells then there's somwthing wrong with it, nothing to do with buying something from a cat owner.
If you think they smell then why did you buy something from them in the first place?
Or did you just want to write a goady thread to piss of smokers and cat owners? (As we haven't had a thread about horrible cats are for about a month).

Girl cat 3 managed to slip out the door when I was letting boy cat in the other night and I didn't notice. Dp noticed when he got up and heard her crying to come in. It was chucking it down but the daft creature hadn't bothered to take shelter and she was like a small drowned rat! and she didn't smell, she just looked adorable

Boy cat would love this in the summer, it would be his castle to survey his kingdom in the sunshine.

I'm sure my house smells of dog, though I'm "nose-blind" to it myself. She's allowed on the sofa and sometimes in our bed. I also smoke, outside but it almost certainly clings to my clothes and hair. My mate's house smells of cats and ferrets. Don't care, pets are worth it and it smells better than those horrendously strong fake smelling air-fresheners.

There is no way something would make your dishwasher "smell". You need to do a proper clean of your dishwasher... frankly dishwashers make me heave more than cats.. all that rancid fats and grease and dirt if you don't clean it on a regular basis... boaks

We have a mahoosive cat & our house does not smell. In fact we are known in our social circle for having the "show room" house. Get over yourself.

Mycatsapirate I hope they love it as much as my cat does. She loves to survey the garden from the verandah, she thinks she's invisible in it! She very often sits in it when it's raining even though she can come in if she wants.

Yuck that and dogs I wouldn't be able to use decorating stuff as I would always think of smell I definitely wouldn't be able to eat anything I made with them.

My cats smell absolutely gorgeous! I like to cuddle them and sniff the top of their head.

I've got to be honest I hate cat owners who don't have litter trays. Cats do make houses smell but that's for the people living there to put up with, sending them out to crap in the garden my children play in is really obnoxious!

Actually it is possible for people to smoke and not smell of it, I have a really ridiculously good sense of smell, yet I wouldn't have known 2 of the nurses on the respiratory ward smoked if they hadn't said so. They smoke outside, with a coat on, and cover their hair. Then they wash their hands and use mouthwash before coming back into the ward - I asked them, they said they're really particular because it sets a bad example.

Unless you've been in the house of every cat owner, or smoker, in the kingdom, then you can't really say, can you you goady article OP. On the other hand, as the gloves appear to be off, I would suggest that good dishwasher-maintenance would be to run a cleaner though it about once a month you slovenly house-keeper, the pot who called the kettle black, and probably suggested it smelt of cats to boot

You sound a treat but I do agree with cat litter trays in kitchens is grim.. I've always put ours in the toilet / bathroom . I feed them In there too as it's a big room and they have there own space ..
