To think that cat owners that smoke don't realise how bad they smell?

I bought some cake decorating stuff (second hand) at the weekend and it stinks. I put it through the dishwasher and now that stinks too. Why don't people realise that having cats shitting in the kitchen is vile - and why are cat litter trays often in the kitchen? Would the bathroom not be more appropriate? Why mix cooking with the toxic stink of cat shit?

And in answer to all of the cat owners that will tell me that their cat/house doesn't smell, you're wrong, it does, and there's cat hair all over you. Smokers have no defence other that you probably can't smell how bad you are because you've knackered your tastebuds.

I am never going to buy another second hand thing unless it's from a 'smoke & pet free house'. Stinky fuckers.

Op might have been a good Idea to use Milton or simlar before you put the in dish washer. Seems odd that dish washer smells though.

Oh and poor cat being deprived of its hobby.

My cat smells lovely, his litter tray is cleaned regularly and I'd rather he was in my house than a lot of humans! What perfume do you wear OP?

Somewhere out there is a cat who likes baking and smoking! That's unusual.

My cat litter doesn't smell as I clean it as soon as he's gone in and I use a good clumping, smell reducing litter. I'm more likely to smell like horse and that is offensive

Will also admit to being covered in cat hair, horse hair, hay...you name it but I don't care what anyone thinks of that!

Smokers definitely smell disgusting- no matter what if you smoke more than one every few months you reek of ashtray. Far stronger smell than cats and pervades everything.
Dogs - especially old ones or multiple dogs in house -do smell but then most people restrict whereabouts they go. I don't know anyone who would let the dogs upstairs or in the sitting room but know some do.
Cats -likewise but usually unneutered toms or old cats.
I guess it's up to people how they choose to live and what their house smells like.

...and here was me thinking it was going to be someone saying it was cruel smoking indoors when you have cats. How wrong can one be?

Just had a quick look at my outfit and nope, I'm not covered in cat hairs.. We have four and manage to keep the house clean and smelling fresh. It's not that hard. Do you think we just wade through a tsunami of cat hairs all day?

I must confess to wading through a tsunami of cat hair every day watch...butt. My pussy is very hairy - well one of them is! You should see the hoover after running over the hall - i could knit myself another cat. Still love him to bits though!

Plenty of people smoke and don't stink! I think it depends on the type of cigarettes they smoke, I know people who smoke straight cigarettes and they seem to be "smellier" than those who smoke roll-ups for some reason. Also if you smoke indoors constantly and don't air out rooms and fabrics then that's bound to smell over time.

That's fine but it doesn't make their hair gross. Annoying yes but not disgusting.

My house doesn't smell of cat. I do generally smell of horse but my sense of smell isn't tainted just because I have a cat
