I for one think that Trump is a breath of fresh air. He's a president who has actually followed thru on a few promises thus far. Who else in govt has one that? The 7 country list was drawn up years ago by the Obama administration. Those countries do not cooperate with US INS when further information is requested on their countrymen trying to enter USA.

The reason that well-known terror hotspots such as Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are not on that list is because, odd as it may seem, they DO cooperate with the American authorities when requested for backstory information on one of their own hoping to enter USA.

There were thousands and thousands of people affected, we know this from the people on the ground, the customs and borders agencies, the airport staff.

Visitors/green card holders/refugees were still coming in during the Obama administration revising the vetting procedures - some in lower numbers and with a longer wait, but they weren't getting wholesale turned away at the border.
