to ask you to name my business..?

Firstly, I apologise. I know there have been a slew of these requests with the new year. But reading some of the suggested names, I was so impressed..

So, I was hoping someone might be able to help me...

I have a company that produces decorative outdoor screens and lattices. Up until now I had just been trading under a generic ltd company name but am hoping to market more extensively in the new year.

Problem is, is I have no clever name for the business.. At all.

Basically the business sells decorative/design led outdoor/garden things. Not just screens/lattices, but that is the core product. So I don't really want the name to contain the word "screens" or reference screens in particular, as we do sell other things..

Am adding a picture of one of the products but will happily remove if it is viewed as not appropriate/marketing.

Thank you!!!

Please God no more plays on words and cheesy, cutesy names. Awful. Sorry but awful. Go for something that makes you sound professional at least.

OlennasWimple · 31/01/2017 17:04

Mashrabiya is lovely, and has a meaningful connection to what you stock (in your "about us" section you can explain that you started selling screens but have now extended)

Lapinlapin · 31/01/2017 17:21

Apple blossom
Sweet pea
Snapdragon
Amaryllis
Cherry blossom

Lovely product, I enjoy these naming threads! My ideas are all based on the term gardenware (is that a term? It seems to cover a multitude) and famous gardens/gardenish related words .

Babylon Gardenware
Botanic Gardenware
Jardin Gardenware
Eden Gardenware
Evergreen Gardenware
Zen Gardenware
Graceful Gardenware

Good luck!

Whatstheproblem2 · 03/02/2017 13:34

Al Fresco Decor Ltd. Sorry if someone's already mentioned it.

DiseasesOfTheSheep · 03/02/2017 13:36

Just for balance, I think Trellissimo is awful. I wouldn't even click on that in a list on google, because it would annoy me so much.

The puns are awesome (A Midsummer Night's Screen is a particular high!) but probably not really appropriate for your purposes!

Whatstheproblem2 · 03/02/2017 13:37

Or Alfresco Decor Ltd.

Exterior Sanctuary Solutions
Private Garden Solutions

I like the Secret Garden. If it was more furniture you could have Faraway Furnishings or Faraway Tree Furnishings, taking Faraway from the Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton. Gorgeous Gardens? Supplying goods for a Gorgeous Garden.

SingingInTheRainstorm · 03/02/2017 13:44

Or 'Supplying gardening goods for your gorgeous garden!'

Last suggestion from me before I buckle down and decide.
What are your thoughts on "Adorn my Outdoors"? Does it sound too feminine? I had hoped for a fairly gender neutral name..

OP posts:
OlennasWimple · 03/02/2017 14:33

Tricky to say! And type (think wrong web address concerns)

How about Adorn Outdoor Goods / Gardenware / other?

sycamore54321 · 03/02/2017 15:15

Adorn My Outdoors is TERRIBLE. It sounds like some sort of double entendre. Please don't!

I'd go with any of the simpler suggestions as long as the name isn't already taken. My favourite so far is Outdoor Elegance - hints at Te higher end of the market, doesn't limit you to screens, includes balconies, terraced and yards as well as gardens etc. Think of those factors and work backwards.

Why are you looking for gender neutral? Does your market research show you are appealing equally to both? Instinctively this product type strikes me as more appealing to females but I have no evidence for that obviously.

Iamblossom · 03/02/2017 15:33

LOVE Trellissimo!

HelpP1ease · 03/02/2017 16:26

Hahaha.. It hadn't even crossed my mind any sort of double entendre Shock

Mainly gender neutral because we sell to a lot of landscape gardeners who seem to be more men. Well at least the ones so far.

I agree- retail it's mainly women.

Adorn .. Anything? Doesn't have to be outdoors. Urg. So bloody difficult.

Adorn My Outdoors sounds like a company in a Carry On film - was there a Carry On Gardening? Grin
