to ask you to name my business..?

Firstly, I apologise. I know there have been a slew of these requests with the new year. But reading some of the suggested names, I was so impressed..

So, I was hoping someone might be able to help me...

I have a company that produces decorative outdoor screens and lattices. Up until now I had just been trading under a generic ltd company name but am hoping to market more extensively in the new year.

Problem is, is I have no clever name for the business.. At all.

Basically the business sells decorative/design led outdoor/garden things. Not just screens/lattices, but that is the core product. So I don't really want the name to contain the word "screens" or reference screens in particular, as we do sell other things..

Am adding a picture of one of the products but will happily remove if it is viewed as not appropriate/marketing.

Thank you!!!

IMissGrannyW I would be a bit worried about being associated with "Forever Living" the MLM company. Its the first thing I thought of. Its a shame though as its a nice name.

EatSpamAmandaLamb The name is literally the last thing stoping me publishing the website. As soon as it is up I will send you a private message as I don't want to be seen to be gratuitously marketing here! We deliver anywhere in the UK but if you are near by I can drop to you.

Sorry Help my suggestion was naughty, because I know what MN thinks about FL.

I hope you get a name you love, though. Flowers

Patriciathestripper1 · 27/01/2017 23:55

'The Screen Queen'
'Screen Shots'

Lapinlapin · 27/01/2017 23:56

I like the primrose suggestion. Obviously not that as that company already exists, but something similar. So maybe a plant, flower or tree name? Would make logos etc nice and easy too!

Or the "&" name a pp suggested along the lines of Birch and Willow.

Other posters have made good comments about making it easily searchable, but I was under the impression that if you get your keywords right you can make sure your website appears quite high on a search listings without it being the name itself?

I think you want something fairly memorable. If the name is too long and descriptive, I'm less likely to remember it.

Patriciathestripper1 · 27/01/2017 23:57

'Secret Spaces'

Designer space?
Space Designs?
Hidden Spaces?
Amazing Spaces?
Outdoor Interiors?
Natural Creations?
Nature Interiors?
Green House?
Serene Spaces?
Ivy House?

When you decide on a name - even if it's not any that have been suggested - I'd love to know. Good luck Wink

Social Climbers

Nice plant names : Cardoon, Hellebore, Japonica, Pelargonium, cranesbill,

JonHammAndCheese · 28/01/2017 02:36

Garden Grace (sort of a play on the idea of "garden gate").

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 28/01/2017 07:36

I like Trellissimo too (or should that be Trellisimo? Trellissimo looks better)

It's got a nod to your core product, but sounds like a nice faux Italian elegant word as well.
Also as a made up word, less likely to have problems with existing companies. Make sure that it doesn't mean "rubbish" in Italian!

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 28/01/2017 07:39

The doorstep delivery company Milk & More is a clever brand name. Mentions the core product but makes it clear that they do more than just milk.
However the alliteration of double M helps

Clearoutre · 28/01/2017 07:39

Outdoor Surrounds (or Surroundings). Also Outdoor could be replaced with something garden/gardening related like Orchard or Tended?

BBQueen · 28/01/2017 07:44

Can't help with names, but can you pm me with details of your website/mailing list when it's ready please? Love the screen in the image.

PurpleL1lac · 28/01/2017 09:07

Re Trellissimo - it's a combination of Bellissimo (meaning Beautiful in Italian) and Trellis! Completely made up of course - I have no idea if it translates to something else!
You could put an exclamation mark after the name too and Trellis it up for your logo Smile

LexieLulu · 28/01/2017 09:20

You're probably best going on the companies house website. Type in a suggested company name and see if it's taken.

Remember you can't have similar names. You can have "the garden company ltd" if there's a "the garden company limited"

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 28/01/2017 09:29

By the way OP, if you really like a title, get it registered before someone else steals it

saffronwblue · 28/01/2017 09:33

Lattice and Lovage

Datun · 28/01/2017 09:43

Trellissimo has my vote.

AnnieAnoniMouse · 28/01/2017 09:44

Choosing the name & logo was, by FAR, the most difficult part of setting up our business.

I like Garden Decor. It's not fun or stylish, but it very much tells you what the company does.

That screen is really beautiful, I'd love to see your website when you're sorted. Sadly I won't be able to buy anything until we move, but I can add to the wishlist for now!

Patriciathestripper1 · 28/01/2017 10:15

Another one - 'instant interiors '

PurpleL1lac · 28/01/2017 10:15

Thought of another one - how about
Arborellis? It's not coming up on google and sounds gardeny/outdoorsy.
