To not want to date a tory?

I know you don't have to date anyone you don't want to. But I'm currently dating someone who's told me he's a tory. He's a good person and I like him but I can't really get to grips with his ideologies about things. I'm politically aware but not active iyswim? I'd basically be ending the relationship purely because he's a tory but he's not actually a bad person so I feel a bit ridiculous.

Ah excellent. Well if he is loaded he has potential for being turned from the Dark side. But keeping all his lovely dosh to spend on you.

Now the next question is of course: Is he a Good Shagger?

I would be weary of dating a Labour guy. Too scared of finding an antisemitic scum under all the liberalism.

My politics are pretty left wing in most ways. I can't say it wouldn't give me pause for thought if someone I was dating was a tory. However, I think I would be more concerned about dating any person who said "I can't date him/her, because he/she votes X" than about anyone who voted a particular way, per se. This is because people vote for the same things for extremely different reasons. There are intelligent, compassionate, thoughtful reasons to vote Tory, and there are idiotic, selfish ones to vote Labour. Where they stand on the left-right political spectrum captures very little about a person, I think.

I'd rather date a Tory than a Corbyn supporter, I'd not be able to continue a relationship with someone I knew who supported him so I guess it's similar but the other way round. If it's fundamentally against all you believe in then you're not unreasonable, if there's some common ground then perhaps it's hasty to finish on those grounds

I'm very head over heels tbh. He's just frankly great. He's intelligent, able to hold a conversation, respectful, charming, kind, rich as fuck and a great shag. This morning he walked me to the station before he went to work and I did the walk of shame. He's still a tory though.
