Wingedharpy · 15/01/2017 01:12

I'm not famous myself but I do have a telly.
Does that count as being connected to the famous?

LoupGarou · 15/01/2017 01:13

Glorious - think I might have been in trouble if so, I was in a Russian army barracks at the time! He was actually lovely, extremely charming and charismatic.
Blueberry, and more so in person Blush

notsuchasupervet · 15/01/2017 01:13

Lucy Prebble!

David Greig!

I'd love, love, love if you were Alan Bennett Grin

DeadMorose · 15/01/2017 01:20

I've been on telly and in the paper and in the magazine. Not in this country though. In fact it was in the country that you probably never been or go to.
So there.

midsummabreak · 15/01/2017 01:22

I agree with Worra Gloriagusset Wink

Lunar1 · 15/01/2017 01:22

My friend is very famous, but she's also a nethun! I should probably just ditch her and make friends with my own kind. Do we have a MN code so I can safely meet my own kind?

midsummabreak · 15/01/2017 01:28

Hey, does it count that my Mum surprisingly resembles Mrs Bucket?

LandLock · 15/01/2017 01:33

FeralBeryl AKA John Nettles

I loved you on Toast Wink Grin

Musicaltheatremum · 15/01/2017 01:38

My daughter could be famous. She's been in a musical in the west end with Darren Day and Michael Xavier and sang a solo and is on the original cast recording. Sadly It was only a one night show. But I saw it and cried.

ZuzuMyLittleGingersnap · 15/01/2017 01:39

I'm Shergar.

I jest.

I am actually renowned for having tipped off been most unfairly caught by The Paps, whilst engaging in oh-so-likely-and-totally-spontaneous-(honest-Guv'nor)-early-morning-shifting-of-wheeliebins-clad-only-in-dubiously-flimsy-wildly-inappropriate-leopard-print-mini-négligée-stiletto-mules-full-face-of-makeup-and-immaculately-groomed-updo...

I'm not.

But Peter Andre came to my school once in the 90s and sang Mysterious Girl. I missed him as I was at a nearby friend's house smoking cannabis at the time.

And I've met Teresa May.

NovemberInDailyFailLand · 15/01/2017 01:56

Loup Tell all about Putin! I mean, he isn't my secret guilty crush or anything, but, yeah. Asking for a friend...

NovemberInDailyFailLand · 15/01/2017 01:57

Lion - was The Orangester invited? Or did he just turn up at random? Grin

LittleLionMansMummy · 15/01/2017 02:02

I never did understand why he was there November. All I know is that almost 2 decades later my then 15yo dsd WhatsApped me a photo of him kissing her at a book signing. It made me feel very old. As well as somewhat uncomfortable!

orgulous · 15/01/2017 02:04

Diggory That sounds about perfect. What a gorgeous way to make a living.

Are any of you famous enough that you can't go down the corner shop without being asked for an autograph? If so, how on earth do you cope? Or do you like it?

Is it hard to make friends without the fame thing getting in the way? Or are most of your friends celebrities?

LoupGarou · 15/01/2017 02:13

November certainly, I have a massive and shockingly enduring crush on him since meeting him so I don't judge Grin. Ex was a Russian army officer, Putin came to the barracks and all the officers wife's and girlfriends were supposed to attend. He was very witty, very charming and his eyes - fuck me I have never met anyone with eyes like that before, he has very intense eyes, almost memorising Blush. He was very easy to chat to as well, went out of his was to make everyone feel at ease.
I am usually very level headed, honest!

mammyoftwo · 15/01/2017 02:25

i reckon there are a fair amount of youtubers and vloggers on here!

CitrusSun · 15/01/2017 02:26

Through work and personal connections have been at lots of places, events, etc with 'famous' people, never been star struck, doesn't interest me, would rather talk to my binman if he has a good soul than someone vacuous who's just well known
