"Heartbreakingly pretty"

Watching ITN news right now. Tragic awful story about the death of a young girl. Teenager helping with enquiries I think. Anyhow the point at which I thought FFS was when a picture was shown of the young girl whose death was described as "all the more tragic" because she was "heartbreakingly pretty". It would be sad whatever , not because of how she looks. It's a terrible story but what a comment by the reporter?

It's not that I think you don't agree with me itsmine - I think you don't understand the whole original point of the thread, maybe go back to the beginning and re-read.

I've heard this type of thing before, and worse.
A persons death so tragic/more tragic because they were just recently married or a top med school student.
As if these things define their passing as more tragic than someone who was, say, single or uneducated.

All death, loss of life is tragic for someone somewhere in the world.
