No update re the call from nicolarse bird got while driving. He was coming round to discuss. Not sure if he was coming yesterday or is doing today.

WhatchaMaCalllit · 13/01/2017 08:27

The correct and only answer to Nicolarse's question "Is there a problem?" is the following

Well now that you mention it Nicolarse, yes, there is a problem. You see you have a driveway, like our driveway, that can take two cars and you have things occupying what would be the second space. Things that haven't moved in years. Things you don't use. It's because you have these things, that you are unable to allow your carer for your wife (or whatever the reason is that they have a carer visiting) park on your driveway and as a result thought it acceptable to advise them to park on a neighbours driveway for the past number of years.
It is not important how long this has been going on but that it is going to stop. Now. The alternative is that I will charge you and your carer £10 per day or part of a day for any times they use our driveway, or you can arrange to buy a permit so that your carer can park in the designated areas at the times of their visit.
As for the other car that was on our driveway, we can only assume you know who the owner of that car is or was. We want you to contact them and tell them that they are no longer allowed to park on our driveway. Our drive way is ours. It's not a public car park it is private property and belongs to us. It is not an extension of your parking facilities

diddl · 13/01/2017 08:49

I just think that I'd ignore that tbh.

What a pompous arse.

He knows what the problem is & cba to contact until 3days later.

If it's resolved with the drive being roped off, then it's obvious that no one who has previously been parking there is to do so anymore.

What is there to say?

Amberlynn · 13/01/2017 08:59

Just wow at Nicholarse's brass neck Shock

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 13/01/2017 09:20

Please ask Nicolarse who Caroline is and where abouts in the neighbourhood does she live.

Scottishchick39 · 13/01/2017 16:55

I went home at lunchtime today, it has been snowing here for the last couple of days. We have a driveway to the side and one to the front of our house, I park in the one at the front and husband in the one at the side. My DH wasn't home last night but there was tyre tracks on his driveway. I was enraged that someone had been using it while I wasn't home. Silently swearing and muttering to myself. Then it dawned on me that to get my car off of my driveway I reverse onto DH's part and then drive away. It was my bloody tyre prints! This thread is to blame for my rage!! Haha!

leapyearbaby · 13/01/2017 17:15
