..to let the bed "air"

Help settle an argument between my DH & I...

We strip the beds every Saturday (I know some MN'erst will think this is disgusting, but this is not the AIBU!).

I like to strip the beds and leave the bed to "Air" for the day. DH thinks this is a ridiculous notion and likes to get the bed stripped and re-made at the same time.

He gets irrationally annoyed when we come up to bed & rather than collapsing straight in, we have to make it. Whereas I love making it after the 'air-ing' and then collapsing into soft, beautifully smelling bed.

So, who is being unreasonable?

I strip mine in the morning then leave it to air whilst washing and drying the sheets and duvet cover then put them back on. I hate going to bed and realising that I have to make the bed up before I can get into it

It wasn't humid, we were on an Island and it was,,, maybe 33 degrees or more? Our Swedish friends told us it was uncommonly dry and hot, especially because it lasted for weeks.

If time and money allows I really recommend it. We were mainly on an island before Göteborg. It was gorgeous. Some other family members went again this year (but did more of a travel around thing) and even though it wasn't that hot it was still warm and sunny. (Certainly warmer and sunnier than Scotland. But that was good, I was super pregnant and heat would have made me mardy...)

When I was younger I stuck to the bigger cities (mainly Stockholm, tbh). But the country side is so so beautiful. I'd really love to go farther up north next time, to see where my grandmother grew up and stuff...

I just need to get a project funded or a congress. Or win the Nobel.

Lweji, I recommend winning the Nobel. Every one else, so far, who's done that seems to have done OK after.
