Lyrically, musically or any other reason.

I can't stand Spandau Ballet's "True" - there I've said it. I'm out and proud.

"Why do I find it so hard to write the next line?" - perhaps because it's a fucking shite song Tony and it makes no sense at all!

Your Beautiful, James Blunt, (I like the ad with him in though)
Come On Eileen is an ok song but it's been played to death and is now just irritating. The Pogues " Fairytale of New York" is the same.
I hate Jonah Lewie "Stop the Cavalry" the trumpety bit does my head in.

BadLad · 01/01/2017 10:57

My heart will go on, by Celine Dion. Nauseating.

Reality16 · 01/01/2017 11:17

Ironic by Alanis Morissette - what the actual fuck is that song even about? I don't like that track either, but how could you not know what it's about? It's pretty basic and self explanatory.

YouWereRight · 01/01/2017 11:42

The Sound by The 1975. Ds1 loves it, but I loathe the line 'I said that I love you / What does it matter if I lie to you?' It seems to jump out at me.

itsallbollocks · 01/01/2017 12:20

Love is all around me - wet wet wet

It was so over played, as a child I remember sitting in the toilets with my fingers in my ears when it was played at a wedding.

Gold. Hate that song.

itsallbollocks · 01/01/2017 12:21

Dancing in the moonlight. I also hate that song.

fruityb · 01/01/2017 12:45

Urgh dancing in the moonlight and love is all around - argh!!

Simonneilsbeard · 01/01/2017 13:00

I hate the message in some songs like blurred lines for example ..don't know you're beautiful by one direction, hotline bling by drake.
Maybe I'm over thinking them!
Also to someone who mentioned that allsaints song ..yessss! It's an awful song and that spoken but is horrendous

Albatross26 · 01/01/2017 13:23

Mr brightside - tedious student laddy indie pap. I hate it so much

VeryBitchyRestingFace · 01/01/2017 13:25

That bloody tedious Robbie Williams song is on the radio right now

I love my life/I am powerful/I am beautiful/I am free

Pure gies me the dry boak every time.

To the PP who hates 'Africa' by Toto: how???? I just ... how???? It's a beautiful song and so uplifting. I really can't understand how anyone can hate that song

TSSDNCOP · 01/01/2017 13:55

How can a small no featuring the line "rises like a Memphis above the Serengeti" be wrong Grin

Revenant · 01/01/2017 14:00

China in your hand by T'Pau. In fact, anything by T'Pau.

Saggingninja · 01/01/2017 14:06

Charlene you win.

'I've been to paradise
But I've never been to me.'

www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZgIk2b68gQ

PUTRID.

I don't mind daft disco songs, it's the pompous 'meaningful lyrics' ones I can't stand. Dean Friedman's Lucky Stars is a big stinky musical turd. Also his bouffant hair and moustache should be an arrestable offence.

Worst song ever though by Reginald Bosanquet: Dance with Me

GilMartin · 01/01/2017 14:48

Bloody hell I'd forgotten how all sorts of awful that Charlene song was lyrically, musically, vocally and how horrible the sentiments of the lyrics are. But I think what really rips my knitting is that she addresses the object of her diatribe as 'lady'.

CanadaMoose91 · 01/01/2017 15:06

Anything by Nicki Minaj.
I've Got a Feeling - Black Eyed Peas
Dubstep. I hate dubstep.

MrsMattBomer · 01/01/2017 15:07

Reality16

Well I obviously get the meaning of it, it's just that it bothers me because none of the things she's singing about are actually ironic. I'm an English teacher so it irritates me!

I love "You Oughta Know" though!

I'm so glad other people dislike "Dancing in the Moonlight" as much as I do. I don't know why but it gives me images of Jamie Oliver - it sounds like the exact type of music he'd listen to.

SophieGiroux · 01/01/2017 16:21

Anything from the Frozen soundtrack, particularly "let it go" Aaarghhhh!Sad

2 times - Ann lee

Mambo no 5

Meatloaf especially that one that was no1 for weeks on end

LyndaLaHughes · 01/01/2017 17:16

Did anyone say "Achy Breaky Heart"? Dear god that was horrendous.

The80sweregreat · 01/01/2017 18:14

I think dancing in the moonlight was on a 'jamie oliver loves' cd once ( naked chef days, before the kids) used to be able to buy this stuff in woollies bargain bins. For a quid or two.
I like Africa though!

Iwannabelikecommonpeople · 01/01/2017 18:26

One song I really don't like would be Hello by Adele..I can't see what the big deal is. And Xfactor stuff too.

MaccaPaccaismyNemesis · 01/01/2017 18:26

'Walking on sunshine' makes me feel murderous. It just goes on and on and on.

Same goes for 'Hey Mickey'.

'Candy' by Robbie Williams and also his new one. 'I love my life'. Smug bastard alert!

Empress13 · 01/01/2017 18:37

Bryan Adams anything I do - ggrr grates on me was no 1 for like a zillion weeks!

Adele ! there I've said it boring as fuck !

mummyofmoomoos · 01/01/2017 18:54
