I also think it's a good comparison.

The OP wants her DH to stop his hobby to have a conversation with her merely because she stepped through the door.

How would that be different from Cherry going to her husband's band practice?

I'm just pleased I don't expect a fanfare myself when I come in from a night out. DH sure as shit doesn't get one!

Children playing all night is down to shit parenting.
I have several consoles in my house and I have children. They've also had bed times
And this means consoles off because restrictions have been put in place. Same with back in the early 80's when I started playing restrictions were implemented.

Exactly bloodyteenagers not sure how this fault is down to that of gaming!

See most of my corp has my mobile number, as I am the server admin for teamspeak.

I do take my gaming seriously and there are time I have pulled an all nighter as the reinforcement timers needs doing.

I have corp members from all over the globe.

I have account older than my daughter, I have invested a lot of money and time. As I pay £10 per account per month.

So yes when I am gaming and doing my hobby don't disturb me.

my son is autistic, he's obsessed with screens and his tablet. They all go off at 7.30am on the dot and they come to bed with me, he isn't allowed them again until 5.30am when DH gets up for work, and he has to come and ask me for them.

When i was younger and it was my SNES or my brother with his Computer, mom used to take the controllers off us and used to take my brothers power cable at bed time.

If your kids are up all night playing, its simply bad parenting.

An adult has the right to make that decision for themselves. If i've stayed up til 4am doing something, its my look out if i have to get up at 7.30 and get the kids to school on 3hrs sleep.
