I really don't get it! My Facebook feed is full of people moaning about being in an online queue or declaring they've been lucky enough to get on the site.
It's only soap?! Whatever they've done to create this hype is admirable!
Have I missed something? Do they turn you into insert name of drop dead gorgeous celeb if you bathe in their products?
IIRC the bath bombs are only about £4 anyway?!?!!

I'm on the page. Absolutely no sign of the sale. And it's still very slow.

Judydreamsofhorses · 26/12/2016 22:48

I once picked a friend up at the station and she started sniffing and said almost immediately, "is there a Lush round here?". The shop is about ten minutes walk from the station. I knew straight away she was pregnant!

pregnantat50 · 26/12/2016 22:50

just got on the site, nothing left

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/12/2016 22:51

website timed out as I spotted sakura. But I won't be buying from them out of principle because they didn't update the queue page to say the sale was over. That's not a nice way to treat people.
hmpff. I was about to be a returning customer.

QueenoftheAndals · 26/12/2016 22:51

They should sell their bath bombs with a free tube of caneston thrush cream,I'm sure it would be greatly received

Yes, I've always thought that heavily fragranced bath bombs must play havoc with your fanjo Confused

AVirginLitTheCandle · 26/12/2016 22:59

I had a minute to go and then the website crashed.

pregnantat50 · 26/12/2016 23:00

to be honest I bought lush products as presents this year and in a way I am glad I didnt get to see what they were reduced to in the sale :)

UnbornMortificadoAtChristmas · 26/12/2016 23:02

I'm really prone to thrush (mostly antibiotic related) lush stuff has never give me it (touch wood)

MsMarvel · 26/12/2016 23:15

I'm waiting in the queue just to see how long it takes

Starlight2345 · 26/12/2016 23:41

I just went back to the queue it is longer now than when I joined nearly 3 hours ago and no mention of the sale over.

I didn't want to buy but if I did would of waited patiently then fumed.

gillybeanz · 26/12/2016 23:45

My dd is 12 and she and her mates love the stuff, it's cheap enough for pocket money presents for their friends too.
She gets free samples from one store because her and her friends visit a lot at lunch time, the staff are great with them apparently.
We all got various size and shape smelly stuff, and we don't need air fresheners anymore. Grin

I just want to shout ITS SOAP PEOPLE! SOAP! you've never needed it and never will!

I used to love lush about ten years ago when they still made good rather than gimmicky products. I fell out with them when they discontinued Skinny Dip shower gel (a lovely sort of spicy, vanilla, chocolate smell) and started selling bright coloured gels in ice cube bags. There was also a shampoo that really suited my hair, nothing gimmicky about it, just nice shampoo in a bottle that smelt nice and made my hair clean and soft - I asked in the shop if they could recommend another similar shampoo and they sold me a tub of something that was full of scratchy seasalt, it was a pain to use and made my hair dull and tangly.

I do like the vanilla and cocoa butter bathbomb (if they still make it) sadly I haven't had access to a bath for years (do have a shower though!)

LRDtheFeministDragon · 27/12/2016 00:16

I think Lush shouldn't be allowed shops in closed shopping arcades - the smell is revolting, and while some people don't seem to mind it, most do. I have friends who'll tell me one or other product is great (and it may be), but the fact is that they're happy to pump allergens out onto everyone else in the nearby area, and their stuff is full of fake colour, glitter and shite like that.

Supporting Hunt Sabs puts me off, too. If they wanted to do something sensible to stop the hunts, I'd be all for them - hunters really make me angry - but childish idiocy that can hurt animals? No thanks.

weeblueberry · 27/12/2016 00:26

I just want to shout ITS SOAP PEOPLE! SOAP! you've never needed it and never will!

Do you only buy stuff you need?

LightastheBreeze · 27/12/2016 05:42

The queue is still there! No mention of sale ending,

Iamtheresurrection · 27/12/2016 06:41

2685 and 3 minutes wait just now!

Lovelybangers · 27/12/2016 06:41

Pah!

I was in the queue last night - fell asleep.

Got back in earlier this morning and of course the sale is over.

I think I'll live Xmas Wink

MsMarvel · 27/12/2016 09:36

Still no mention on the queue page about the sale being over. And still a queue. .
But just noticed there is also no mention at all of a sale and there never was on the queue page... So I suppose that is their justification for not announcing the sale over, it was never mentioned on it in the first place.

PlayOnWurtz · 27/12/2016 09:58

Bomb ballistics are much better quality and half the price

haveacupoftea · 27/12/2016 11:24

17,355 people in the queue. I wonder if they know they are queuing to buy the full price stuff they wouldnt have bought pre Christmas. Or maybe they are just all nosy gits like me.

neveradullmoment99 · 27/12/2016 11:46

Well its saying that the sale is ending. So thats that. I didnt want anything. I was just being nosey and rather like the screen saver ha ha...

UnbornMortificadoAtChristmas · 27/12/2016 13:55

I only persevered with the sale as it's DD2's birthday on Friday. The awkward sod that she is.

BarbaraofSeville · 27/12/2016 15:39

I went to the sales this morning and it was surprisingly quiet.

I went within smelling but not visual distance of Lush (seriously) and now wish I'd ventured a bit closer to see if I could get near the shop (I wouldn't have bothered if it was busy) but never mind.

Just gone on the website and there's currently around 4.5k people waiting and I'll probably be at the front when I finish this post.

Interestingly the only places I saw queues to get in were the Apple shop and Yo Sushi Confused so I had a mooch around the new John Lewis, tried some stuff on but bought nothing (half price Levis - size 30 couldn't fasten, size 32 far too big Angry Confused). Got a calendar and diary half price and some bargain smoked salmon for the freezer for M&S, had a lovely early lunch and a sneaky pint, during which time, everything got massively packed, couldn't move, so then I came home.

pregnantat50 · 27/12/2016 15:44
