Field is Dreams is a crap film, so is Withnail & I

I've pretended to like Field of Dreams for at least 10 years.. It's utter nonsense! Brought it up today with a mate.. Haha she hates Withnail & I but has always maintained she was a fan!!! If you understand where we're coming from. What film to you secretly hate that everyone else apparently loves ???

The Bored of the Rings films are self-indulgent shit. Someone needed to tell Peter Jackson 'no'. Viggo Mortensen's hot in that one though, you know the one I mean.

Mary Poppins is a MASTERPIECE.

There are spider interludes in both hobbit and lotr. They stick in my mind.

I had to read The Hobbit out loud this year..I am not doing lotr.

I remember feeling all adrift because I loathed The Company of Wolves when it came out and so many people declare it to be one of their favourite ever films. It was certainly the film everyone was raving about at the time.

Otoh, I love Dumb & Dumber and Ace Ventura so that probably tells you something about me .

Lost in translation was a bit shit I watched it on Tv it got rave reveiws I was waiting on something to happen it never did.

Braveheart - awful and used by the SNP as propaganda

I like The Rocky Horror Picture Show but for anyone who didn't I would suggest watching the remake it's so awful , it makes the original look like a masterpiece.

I watched Avatar on a flight to Florida it was ok to pass a few hours

Eyes Wide Shut, it had really good reviews but it annoyed me greatly. Nothing happened! Things just kept NEARLY happening.

Agree with PP about Atonement, found it tedious but also a bit disturbing. I also hate Mamma Mia. I love musicals but that left me cringing.

50 Shades of Grey - hated the books and I made it approximately three minutes into the film. Dialogue is dire to be polite.

The Fault in Our Stars - again, hated the book. Marginally better as a film, but I just couldn't enjoy the book as I didn't feel like it felt like it was written from a teenage girls perspective. I know that's not a popular opinion though.

I hate The Blues Brothers too. In fact, hate a lot of cult films. When I was at college we had Blues Brothers nights, it was illegal to hate them. I didn't fit in very well :)
But Field of Dreams and Withnail?? - never!! (as in, never will hate).

I wouldn't be able to sit through Eat Pray Love it would be absolute torture I read the book that I had to skip parts of it. It is the most self indulgent self absorbed nonsense piece of rubbish I have ever read its awful

Awww, I love The Fault In Our Stars - DH wasn't keen on watching it at all, but he was in tears by the end. Same with MIL! I can see how some wouldn't like it though - I agree it doesn't seem very 'teenage' in parts, but maybe a terminal cancer diagnosis at that age means Hazel's character became quite prematurely jaded?

Eyes Wide Shut was excruciating. American Mary was DREADFUL. All and any Fast And Furious film - absolute drivel.

I loved Big Lebowski/Fargo etc. I haven't seen Fault in Our Stars yet, it looks a bit mawkish. Eyes Wide Shut was the most unsexy film with sex in it Utter crap.

Oh I saw five minutes of Eat, Pray Love and had to switch off, pretentious wankery.

The very idea of Eat, Pray, Love makes my eye twitch.
