Field is Dreams is a crap film, so is Withnail & I

I've pretended to like Field of Dreams for at least 10 years.. It's utter nonsense! Brought it up today with a mate.. Haha she hates Withnail & I but has always maintained she was a fan!!! If you understand where we're coming from. What film to you secretly hate that everyone else apparently loves ???

Also sorry affleck but good will hunting is utter tripe.

I didn't like Field of Dreams the first time I saw it, now I know a bit about baseball I have re-watched it and finally "get" it

8 Mile, O Brother Where Art Thou? and The Godfather all leave me cold though

The Rocky Horror Picture Show - absolute crap!!! Friends LOVED it growing up and would in a cult-like way go watch it in the local cinema where it ran every Friday for decades.

(I wish I hadn't reminded myself about Cube. If you worry about films and outcomes and things, don't watch it, it affected me at the time, I now have to think of Toy Story instead )

I loved An Officer and a Gentleman when I was a teenager but watched it recently and was really shocked at what a complete pile of utterly sexist rubbish it was.
Dirty Dancing was cringeworthy. Dances with Wolves was the longest 3 hours of my life.

I don't think it's possible to understand any of The Matrix films unless you've experienced lucid dreams many times. I had several years of lucid dreams as a side-effect of medication and I really believe that they enabled me to understand The Matrix films and that anyone who hadn't had them just wouldn't 'get it'.

I saw withnail 11 times in the cinema

I agree that Titanic is shite, I hated everything about it.

Over 1500 real people died horribly that night, their names were all documented..so we know exactly who died. Yet that wasn't tragedy enough for the makers of the film so they made up some crap 'romance' about 2 fictitious people?

And then the old bag 'Rose' referring to the survivors in the lifeboats 'waiting for dawn; waiting for absolution, which never came'. A nice bit of survivor guilt there with reference to the 705 real life, traumatised, mostly bereaved survivors of the disaster. Survivors everywhere: be sure you feel guilty for surviving when others didn't.

That's before we get on to how certain members of the crew were portrayed. Remember these were real people with real names….these were people who launched the lifeboats and loaded passengers into them, knowing that the ship was sinking and that they themselves would probably not survive. Their conduct during that night was as good a definition of heroism as any I have heard of.

So when we see 'First Officer Murdoch' shooting a passenger and then committing suicide (without any historical record that indicates this actually happened) that is a real (potentially heroic) person that is being traduced there.

So when I say that Titanic is a big pile of shite I think I am being unduly kind.
