Field is Dreams is a crap film, so is Withnail & I

I've pretended to like Field of Dreams for at least 10 years.. It's utter nonsense! Brought it up today with a mate.. Haha she hates Withnail & I but has always maintained she was a fan!!! If you understand where we're coming from. What film to you secretly hate that everyone else apparently loves ???

I didnt understand the DD hype really.
Patrick was a good dancer but he is a creep and she was deluded.
The music doesnt gel either although the dance at the end is good!
Hate the Goonies and most 80s kids films with hysterical kids in it.

I realised a while ago that most of what comes out of Hollywood is vastly overrated, so would definitely agree with you about Field of Dreams.

Withnail and I, however, is genius.

My girls think The Goonies is rubbish. Me and my sister were going to disown them. The Revenant and Atonement are two of the most boring films I have ever seen. However, I also hate Elf. I remember watching it in the cinema, thinking 'this is a bit shit' then over the next decade realising everyone else thought it was a lovable Christmas classic!! I am decidedly not a fan of will Ferrell

I think the Matrix is ok as an action film. It has weird fans though, who seem to think of it as a mystical experience.
The sequels were shit though.

I love Withnail. Rarely a week goes by that I don't quote it. Usually it's "We'll be found dead in here next spring" to much eye-rolling from DH who is never cold.

Withnail is an acquired taste, clockwork orange is very clever. The book more so but they did a good job with the movie. MASSIVE rocky horror fan here, though I now go to more stage shows than watch the movie. Tom curry in drag....... (swoon)

I submit Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I got quite annoyed watching it as on paper it was My Sort Of Thing, but it was just so boring and self-indulgent I couldn't even watch to the end.

Also agree re: Shawshank. I mean...it's OK...but I don't get the adoration it seems to inspire. At all.
